So much work for so little pay
Delivery Driver (Former Employee) - Mississauga, ON - 16 July 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedYou are required to fill gas for the delivery vehicle out of your own pocket. I worked for nearly 12 hours a day sometimes (depending on how difficult the route was) and I made about $180, but then I had to fill over $100 dollars of gas for a car that is not even mine. 12 hour work day, for $80... (Please keep in mind that my particular employer had very old vehicles that consumed lots of gas, and this was during the time gas prices were over $2 per liter). If you are using relatively new vehicles, and gas prices aren't insanely high, then its a pretty good job. Take things at your own pace, paid per package delivered, not hourly. There were days I'd make over $200 a day working from 6am to around 2pm.
Pros
Complete deliveries/route at your own pace
Cons
You need to fill gas for the company's delivery van out of your own pocket

Bad Management
Package Handler (Former Employee) - Ontario - 30 October 2023
Fast Paced work. Good pay. Only part-time and short hours. Bad Management. Toxic Workplace Culture. Part timers will not get even 18 hours if there is no work.

Insights into Intelcom
Areas for improvement
- Sense of belonging
- Support from manager
- General feeling of work happiness
A company that is poorly managed.
Driver trainer (Former Employee) - Brantford, ON - 11 October 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? I couldn’t find anything positive about working there. Employees live in fear of being fired over minor things. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Salaried employees are working extremely long hours and not compensated. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? High stress. High pressure with long hours and poor compensation. What is a typical day like for you at the company? High pressure, ridiculously long hours. Work is based on packages being returned for next day processing.

Stay Away
Operations Clerk (Former Employee) - Ontario - 20 September 2023
Do you enjoy fast-paced high-level stressful working conditions where you will ultimately take the blame for the dysfunction of an Ill-managed & disorganized company? In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage your own team - you will be scheduled solely by yourself You will be provided with little to no instructions Expect training to not occur or within 6 months to 1 year - The training provided is clearly intended for graduates of this field, nobody could pass the online learning modules by themselves You will be offered forklift license certification training but will never receive any - handjacks only You will manage the warehouse organization & setup solely and will be responsible for brokers/contractors You will have to offload a truck by yourself - 20 skids at a minimum with a broken handjack pump Overtime Daily Expect to receive blame for the disorganization of the company You can expect to be disrespected and demeaned daily by contractors/brokers as well as management and overall staff Trust no one - Clear favouritism The company has a high turnover rate due to this Most employees lasted less than 3 months unsurprisingly - I did 3 years and hated it Contractors/brokers will not be in a timely fashion by their employers/business partners Expect to be treated poorly as a result Resources include: Broken equipment - handjack, scanners, faulty system overall “Pros”: Favouritism: Certain employees will be favoured They will complain daily about everyone with no repercussions and will harass you nonstop even when your shifts do not align -
Pros
Nothing
Cons
Favouritism, Broken Equipment, Lack Of Training & Resources

They have no standards, they really don't. It's. Crazy how many laws are broken daily and yet it's the same, day in day out.
Package Handler (Part-time) (Former Employee) - Edmonton, AB - 5 September 2023
They mostly have no standards, they really don't. It's so crazy how many laws are broken daily, and yet it's the same, day in, day out. A Typical Day of Work was really unsafe, in any department, pretty much. Yes this was true.
Pros
Nice People work there, that's only advantage
Cons
Everything is thumbs down.

Understaffed but nice.
Package Sorter (Former Employee) - Granby, QC - 2 August 2023
We were severely understaffed so drivers had to come help and we'd often finish 1 or sometimes 2 hours after the planned finish time. Pay was good though and the staff was also very nice.

Pros
100% télétravail
Cons
appels sur appels parfois, pas assez payé

Fraud company and managers. Never work for them. They leave people alone. Never support workers and keep giving them warnings even going to washroom.

Package Handler (Former Employee) - Burnside, NS - 3 June 2023
If you basically have absolutely no other choice then I can understand why you’ d wanna work here. Otherwise, it’s not great at all hence the reason. They expect you to push beyound the 5 hour mark without any breaks.
