Programmer Analyst I (Current Employee) – university of Regina – 10 October 2017
Job is OK, management is kinda shaky, lots of politics at work. Good place to relax while work, not a ideal place to develop a career unless seeing yourself retired soon.
MANAGER (Former Employee) – Etobicoke, On – 4 April 2018
People and Management were great. Product was innovative and very adaptive to current technologies. Location was easily accessible. Company had it's own assembly warehouse and ships directly overseas to our major customer in the U.K.
Cameco is the largest Uranium & Gold company in the world
Manager (Former Employee) – Saskatoon – 3 June 2015
Cameco is a good company which has many uranium & gold mines in Canada, Australia, Russia and USA. I worked there as Information Services (IS) manager, responsible for SAP and non SAP IT systems. In Cameco IS department comes under finance directorate which means a very technical department works under non technical directorate. It is tragedy that in Canada some companies, IT departments still come under Finance directorate. In the current era no company will grow without embracing new technology. Cameco used to arrange and support annual festival on the river Saskatoon.
Pros
Uesd to have qaurterly dinner in the head office where all employees socialize and interact.
Cons
Since IS department comes under Finance, it never get appreciated by its directorate because of its ignorance about the new technology.
