Decent place to work

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
There is a two tiered wage system. This was not disclosed when I was hired. The upper tier benefits from a previous collective bargaining agreement but all new hires make a lower wage. As a tradesman on the lower tier, $3/hour is not eligible for overtime rate, as well as overall wage being almost 5/hour less than upper tier

Predictable schedule. Good team of workers

Loud, hot, noisy, dusty, wage discrepancies

Not recommended place to work

Maintenance management is worst, superintendent and supervisor are lack of knowledge, never come out from their office to see what’s going on the floor, No proper Job planning, frequent breakdown, very stressful environment in Maintenance department just because of management. Everyone pushes their buckets.

Better than nothing

Asphalt, hot oil, dust, No safety, work under pressure, helpless, Stressful

Bad management

Poor management they like to talk about safety and look safe but they don’t care about it that much. The management toxic environment . Try to make them self feel like they are above the workers and better. Don’t listen to workers at all.

Same thing everyday

Started off in production. Work environment was hazardous. Breathing in fiberglass, wood dust, granule dust with limited breathing devices. Never warned or helped with hazardous areas fro. Management. Worked continental shifts which is horrible for sleep patterns. Would not go back for any money.

Too many politics

Too many politics involving management and the union, they loose sight of what is important. There are a lot of good guys that work there unfortunately small town clicks can make it difficult for some to fit in. The maintenance department is by far the best spot to work. I was also a production worker for 5 yrs to many bosses no one can make up their minds about what they want you to do. Management asks your opinion then does the complete opposite.

great wages and benefits

Management does not work well with others
