Great place to work
Legal Counsel (Current Employee) - Toronto, ON - 21 August 2023
Interesting and challenging work. Great team - everyone always willing to help and explain. Flexible hybrid policy. It is a little silo'd but overall it is a great place to work. No complaints.

Good Work Life Balance and Good Pay
Intern (Former Employee) - Mississauga, ON - 11 June 2022
Did pretty standard co-op student intern things. Ran some reports in excel and did some reports. The worklife balance here is really good and the pay for full timers is goo too.

No recognition of work. High stress. Lacking diversity.
Program Analyst (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 18 October 2021
They mostly hire contract positions because they don't want to spend money on related benefits. No diversity in manager and upper level positions. You can create efficiency and work long hours, the management does not care. Toxic work culture.
Pros
Pay
Cons
job security, long hours, toxic work culture

Lack of diversity in management & leadership
Senior Analyst (Current Employee) - Adelaide - 22 August 2021
This place lacks diversity in it's management & leadership. Some POC groups are totally treated badly, this was clearly shown in it's most recent Diversity & Inclusion survey and it does not look like new CEO will change anything about it, yes it's just a check mark for the Board of Directors. Just check the Executive Leadership Team on the website, you will not see a POC, yep this sets the tone for management or supervisor levels below the VPs.
Pros
Pay
Cons
Racism, nepotism, etc

Toxic Culture
Analyst (Current Employee) - Toronto, ON - 12 May 2021
Every level of management is designed to protect itself. No feedback is used for growth in the upward direction. It’s essentially high school. Probably why they failed their Diversity and Inclusion employee reviews and the follow up solutions were never followed up on. Great pay and benefits so I guess there’s that. They also managed the stay at home/Covid thing well.Keep my mouth shut and tow the line.
Pros
Pay
Cons
Everything else

Stressful. Demanding. Intimidating, boring and frustrating!
Current Employee (Current Employee) - Mississauga, ON - 14 March 2021
QA in charge, does not guide, teach, orient, lead or direct..just demands. Union takes fees since day 1 and protects the company. No room for growth!!
Pros
Long hours and weekends a must...I want to leave soon!
Cons
An organized management with nepotism and "my way or highway" culture.

Generally not good
N/A (Former Employee) - Oakville, ON - 26 February 2018
Existing culture is self protected. Have to observe many things. No real suggestion is given when coming to profession development issues. Supervisor rarely gives useful advice.

Career
Independent Electricity System Operator (Current Employee) - Mississauga, ON - 31 January 2018
No room for career advancement - it's job that you retire in - no training - you loose skills - not a place for those wanting to get ahead.nothing more to add.

great people, excellent benefits, interesting work and industry
Administrative Assistant (Contract) (Former Employee) - Mississauga, ON - 29 May 2017
government agency so pay and benefits above average. hard to get into though as it is a unionized environment and only way really to get in is to go in on contract and even then no guarantees. management was supportive . a very clean healthy work environment. work involved preparing detailed reports, supporting director/CFO, administrative duties.
Pros
work environment and benefits
Cons
hard to get in permanently

Excellent Place to work
Business Analyst (Former Employee) - Mississauga, Ontario - 14 May 2013
Very good place to learn.
There are two issue with this organization. One, unless you are an Electrical Engineer you will not be considered for some of the better jobs here.
Two, since the pay, benefits and package is so great all the senior employees try to get their kids or other relatives into the organization.
Pros
Everything is good
Cons
Nepotism
