Average on pilots low budget 14-16hrs per day plus your travel time. Great gig if you don’t enjoy the company of your significant other/enjoy observing your children sporadically.
The pay isn’t great it’s all about the OT.
Great job for the young have an exit strategy if you don’t plan on trading your life force for $$$.
Great gig for single people and for some of us a 9-5 would equal death.
Regardless of how awesome and important many people in film act, most want out by 50, you see many people try later in life to switch careers/attempt to start a biz only to return, some multiple times. That said, I love the gig the people and the zany situations. Lots of life in this industry, probably why I went back for a spell after 5 years of retirement.
