Good staff to work with. Not well managed.
Dispatcher (Former Employee) –  Ayr, ON31 December 2019
Fast paced environment. Always busy, made for a quick day even though was there 12 hours at a time. Worked 4 days on - 4 days off. Plenty of overtime available. Great place if you like interacting with others and enjoy problem solving. Always different. Great balance of working with a group and independently. Plenty of feedback and support from staff when needed.
Pros
Great people on staff. 4 on-4 off shift was great.
Cons
Upper management played favorites. Favored one office and staff over the other.

Marketing & Analytics Manager (Current Employee) –  Ayr, ON11 December 2019
Unfortunate news of Hyndman shutting down. Company that was on the rise and very profitable. Feel sad for the employees that were making the place better.

A Truly Horrifying Company
Driver Manager (Former Employee) –  Ayr, ON10 December 2019
This was an absolutely awful company to work for who treated their employees horrifically.
Management would bully, berate, and belittle employees. The better you were at the job, the more you suffered. If someone else made an error, they would pick on employees who had nothing to do with it and chastise them. They would bring employees into the office, close the doors, and make personal accusations.
There was favouritism for certain employees and they ensured everyone loved in constant fear of losing their jobs.
Management was run by uneducated children who thought they could run a business ess.
There were no pay advancements and you would belittled if you asked for more money but were constantly expected to take on a heavier workload.
It is truly sad to see what has become of this company only because the staff and drivers were absolutely amazing people.
In true Hyndman/Celadon fashion it is not surprising that they did this to their employees right before the holidays. Absolutely disgusting.

The people are good
Owner/Operator (Current Employee) –  Ayr, ON9 October 2019
The dispatch is good if you are on the automotive board and they can keep you running. Logs department thinks they made the hours of service and if they don like your logs you will get violation after violation on the logs even if your logs are proper and the dot or mot have inspected them, good place to start if you are still learning the ropes
Pros
Good people that are working there
Cons
Logs department think they made logs

Awesome place to work!
Truck and Coach Apprentice (Former Employee) –  Ayr, ON11 September 2019
As a mechanic it is a great place to start out, you learn all the basics that will set you up for a successful career. They appreciate and respect their mechanics and most of the drivers are very friendly.

Not a good company to drive for
Long Haul Driver (Current Employee) –  Ayr, ON14 July 2019
Per mile rate is average. Must pay in full for your benefits. No group RRSP. Not enough miles - tell you they are working on a load then leave you sitting. Takes forever to get a response from dispatchers by qualcomm and if you call in you either get barked at or sound like they would rather be anywhere else.
Mediocre trucks (Internationals) and a yard that is way too small.
Pros
Paid weekly. Other than a good sign on bonus which you need because of lack of miles
Cons
No miles, benefits not paid, etc., etc., ect......

Truck Washer (Former Employee) –  Ayr, ON24 July 2018

Angry, violent, whiny, unmotivated employees; high turnover rate among drivers.
Pros

Decent Company
Professional Driver (Current Employee) –  Wroxeter, ON21 June 2018
Its a decent company to work for to start in the industry if you live in the gta, However its hard to get regular home time if your not within the GTA. Communication is supposed to be key however there is a lot of miscommunication or complete lack there of.

sometime slow sometimes not
Professional Driver (Current Employee) –  Calgary, AB18 June 2018
Typical long haul company. everything is transferred to the backs of the drivers.
Have to buffer your home days request by a few days on either side as getting you home can work well about 60 % of the time. The rest is a nightmare.
