Not a place if you have experience
Project Manager (Current Employee) – Westlake, OH – 22 October 2018
If this is your first job out of college, it is a great place to work. If you are burnt out and tired of toxic "corporate" cultures, this is a good place to work. If you want to feel accomplished or share your wealth of experience, this is not the place to work. Most of the middle and top level managers started at Hyland right out of college. Their knowledge and experiences are really limited. They only know the Hyland way, and the Hyland way is normally a made-up, convoluted process. I wouldn't have thought promoting from within would be a bad thing until I worked here. The culture really frowns up going against the grain or "hurting someone's feelings" i.e. disagreeing. Hyland is very cult-like and there are certain ideas that most always be maintained even though they aren't true 1) everyone is always busy. 2) Hyland is the best place to work, 3) Free M & Ms make up for the lower than average industry pay.
fun people, interesting perks
not for those with experience, only 15 PTO, management is ineffective
