Good for people who want to work
B operator (Former Employee) –  Mountain Top, PA30 October 2019
Hydro is a good place to go for a good paycheck, and the other employees are usually good people there to get the job done. The culture and work varies from department to department, being on the 7 or 9 inch press is the worst with fast past and heavy lifting jobs. While Fab anodizing and packing are more laid back and slower paced.

Horrible just horrible
Die Repair (Former Employee) –  Portland, OR28 September 2019
Horrible place dont get hurt you'll be fired to preserve their no injury numbers. They don't train properly. When you say you weren't trained right it's your fault not theirs.

Plant Manager sat in his office all day, HR fought with each other. Payroll lady never nice. You’ll work long hours. Management lacks of Diversity Awareness.

Don't bother working here
Racker (Current Employee) –  Mountain Top, PA7 August 2019
Pay is ok. Hot environment, must wear long sleeve uniforms and they dont fit right. Your just a number, no communication, treat you bad, mess up on your pay check all the time. Fired people that knew their job. Plant manager needs to go. HR needs to go. Too much favoritism. I could go on and on. Just stay away.

Shipping and Receiving (Current Employee) –  Mountain Top, PA4 August 2019
If your a new hire you ll be treated differently than people that have been there a long time if things aren’t working out for management it’s always the veteran workers faults . Trying to get rid of senior workers and hire new people most people that are there are currently looking for new jobs or retiring . Hot facility , uniform policy just enacted. Extremely hot . Long sleeve. Button down

uncomfortable

Circus and cry babies
Extruder Operator (Former Employee) –  Cressona, PA27 July 2019
The place preaches safety but when their backs are turned they don’t care what goes on ( blind eye ). It is a dangerous place to work, yes . But if you have common sense, you will be alright. But a lot of employees are lazy and lacking common sense. To put it short, it’s like high school all over. People do get hurt there doing stupid stuff, don’t do stupid things and pay attention around you and you will be fine. Great pay and benefits. I don’t recommend working there.

Meh
Process Engineer (Current Employee) –  Portland, OR20 September 2018
Big talk by executives but there is a persistent culture of "good enough". It is difficult to resist contamination by some of the toxic attitudes and silo mentality.
