I do not recommend this employer for the customer service department in particular. No proper training was given at the outset. Very volatile company. American head office.
As a student summer job at Hydro, you get to work in various teams in a collaborative environment, with more experienced workers. It is fast paced at first, but you eventually get used to it and look like you've been part of the team for years ! The only inconvenient might be the schedule, as it is not flexible.

Being a packaging associate at Hydro extrusion is a very dynamic and collaborative job. Communication between employees is crucial as the dynamic and loud atmosphere can sometimes become complicated.
I learned that safety is the most important aspect of a dynamic atmosphere at work and that you can never be too cautious or careful.

Job was involved and interesting, management was supportive. I worked in several rolls, and attended two Reliability conferences, and learned a lot about the Reliability aspect of the business..
Horrible environment to work! Chemicals exposed! Aluminum pieces over your head in a very, very dangerous way to manipulate it!
Co-workers very unmotivated and most of then with psychological problems.
Supervisors are awful and upper management even worst!!
They don't care about your safety, they just want to make money and that's it!!
