Operator (Current Employee) - Lloydminster, SK - 13 July 2023
Changed to Cenovus couple years ago and it’s no better. I’ve been a contractor for 6 years now and unless you have a steam ticket you will not get hired on as an employee. New guys getting hired are almost on same pay scale what I am now. Cannot get a decent raise.
Pros

Cons
Spineless supervisors

Senior Expeditor
Expediting, Procurement, Document Control Lead (Former Employee) - St. John's, NL - 17 May 2023
Found that if you were not from Newfoundland, you were treated differently, or if you were someone with "pull" you were treated differently. They hired staff that knew very little about their duties and responsibilities.
Pros
Excellent Project Procurement Management
Cons
If not from Newfoundland, treated totally different.

Fun while it lasted
Driver (Former Employee) - Lloydminster, AB - 23 February 2023
Although everything changed quickly over the course of a few years, initially it was a great place to work. Immediate supervisors were a pleasure to work with but higher ups, towards the end were a constant problem and seemingly out of the loop.

Poor management
Pounder Operator (Former Employee) - Kamloops, BC - 16 July 2022
Poor management, site is a mess with two companies trying to operate on one site. Labourers are a useless and management isn’t much better. Full time employees get yearly bonuses of the hard work of the labourers
Pros
In Kamloops
Cons
Long hours, no reward for what you do. Full time employees cash in on your hard work.
