Raises have historically been paid annually. Unionized raises are negotiated. There was one year that non-unionized employees had a wage freeze but it has since been corrected by paying a larger raise 2 yeas later. At Hudbay we are able to hire 3rd level apprentices and above (must have completed 2 levels of technical training). If you have completed one level of technical training, you can apply for a labourer position and be able to apply for internal bulletins for apprenticeships once you get hired. Apprenticeships are awarded based on a points-based system and those who have completed technical training receive more points and are more likely to be awarded an apprenticeship internally.Answered 3 September 2019
