Majority of the co-workers are friendly, however, there are some that don't respect others. If you are looking for residential work, this company is very good for it. Be prepared for poor income due to low wages and inconsistent hours (at shop for 6:30 but don't get paid until 8 and leave sites early around 3, unpaid driving in company vehicle). On the other side, you learn A LOT, and most of co-workers are willing to teach you because they want you to learn. Recommended, however be prepared for cons.
Pros
More jobs than most resi companies, lots of opportunity to learn
Cons
Poor wage, poor hours

Be at the shop for 6:30 but you don’t get paid till you get onsite. This is absolutely illegal. They have more apprentices then journeyman, also illegal! Lady in the office has the personality of a tic tac. I suggest everyone report them to labour boarded MCOT. STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS !

Terrible company to work for. Worked for them a very short period before coming together as a team and attempted to organize them into the union we won but they got off unfortunately. The guys still got into the union because most of their employees signed. Do yourself and your fellow electricians a favour organize these crooks for a better wage benefits and working conditions

Revolving doors with this company, cheap labor which means as soon as an apprentice get some experience, they leave for bigger and better companies. The crew is good and they'll teach you stuff, just be prepare to work 12 hrs a day and get paid for 8 everyday. This place is terrible and depressing to work at. avoid if you have some sort of experience. apply elsewhere.

This company often loose guys because they expect nothing but more and more profit in their pocket at the risk of losing really good electricians. No one stays here who knows what they're worth. The fact the the owner had to forge fake reviews to offset all the actual negative reviews with multiple thumbs up tells you how terrible and slimy this place is. Worst case scenario, use this company as a stepping stone, or a temp job until something better comes up

one of the worst electrical companies I've ever worked for, which is a shame because they do really cool work. Very great learning opportunities for apprentices. The only thing is their culture and moral is absolutely terrible. No one in the company cares for one another, if you don't know you get yelled at, if you ask you get yelled at and if you do it wrong you get yelled at. Terrible moral and would never recommend working there

they are so rude and they cannot treat the people very well. They are always looking for people because nobody wouldn't stay there.there is a foreman and he thinks he wrote down the electrical code book and he treats you like you owe him something so simply just don't try something it's already been tried by the other people
Pros
Nothing to say
Cons
stay away from them

This company is slavery simply put. They expect you to work from 6 to whenever you get back to the shop but only pay you for the work you did on job sites. Anything you did in the shop or load truck, etc. Is free. They're always hiring and it's not because of "growth" they get slow often times..."growing" is just code word for the other guys quit and we need a replacement. Low pay and too much expectations from them. Don't work here
Pros
Nice co workers
Cons
The company exists

Worked here for a while the wages are fair for fair work however there is plenty of guys that try to come to work here and fail so the one lesson that I've seen is that if you don't have the skill sets that you say you do you shouldn't apply to hotwire they will fire you very quickly if you don't prove your skill-set quick enough for them they put their clients first and make sure that their employees understand that if you're coming in looking for long hours and 60 + weeks this is not that company for you they have a work-life balance and they will not do overtime as they have a full team in the office for scheduling and client services so they do not run overtime hours you do not need to drive your own car in this company like I had two in my previous one which is a pro
Pros
Provide tools and trucks and steady work hours even when its slow seasons
Cons
Will fire asap if you suck

Only good thing about this place was they had a good group of guys to work with. Last I heard they were all gone and now they are on the lookout for another batch of suckers. Put it this way, this company seems to always be looking for "helpers, apprentices, and journeyman". That alone should tell you something about this place.

They expected you to show up at 630 in the morning to their shop, load the truck, and then go off to the job. Only problem was they that didn't pay you until you got on site and the definitely didn't pay for the ride back to the shop to drop off the truck.
Pros
good co-workers
Cons
Too many to list.
