Top heavy with management - people who love to use acronyms and buzzwords to appear knowledgeable and are generally clueless only looking to springboard to their next position . Rarely will you see a manager in place for longer than 2 - 3 years. Management does not actually make any decisions but are strictly guided by a group of pseudo excellence experts without real world experience. lots of intelligent hardworking people low in the chain of command are the key to any successes
Amazing place to garner professional experience in finance, systems, processes, operations, business and people management. A great team of professionals to work with.
Large organization but run efficiently and processes are in place to coordinate global activities. Very good engineers and senior managers in Honeywell Aerospace division.
Need to choose subcontractors more carefully. Because staff size is kept small, many of the operations are outsourced. Outsourcing happens with outside organizations. These are organizations that the company operates with around the world. If unfortunately, the local contractors are not efficient or capable, it becomes a nightmare for the staff, because the local contractors know there is no way out for them.
Good working culture
Focus is on internationalness rather then focusing locally.
Amazing opportunity to learn the Honeywell way just like other world class company's Honeywell believes in the 8 behaviors ,Lean and Standard work excellent communication through Tier boards HOS & HES processes
Bad senior leadership Heavy emphasis on cost cutting / cost controls - including regular emails about NOT purchasing office supplies Repeated forced days off without pay Repeated delays in annual cost of living adjustments - and repeated no salary adjustment years. Extensive delays and paperwork in staff replacements and repeated periods of hiring freezes
Salary is okay but not leading
Poor senior leadership

Honeywell at Toronto has great location, great management and nice people to work. Benefits are not as good as other companies. Salary is just average.
high stress, immediate boss may know nothing about your job and provide worst possible advice. keep excellent documentation, people get thrown under the bus. some people do provide honest practical advice, you have to find and cultivate these people. hours can get bad. in house training is very good, but they are condensing this very hard.
rate of pay, exposure to new methods, in house training
long overtime hours without pay, stress
• The work day was never typical.• I was trained and learned on the Honeywell DCS and FSC.• The management communicated well with workers.• The co-workers were all helpful and good to get along with.• The hardest part of the work was the travelling.• The most enjoyable part of the work was a succesful projectcompletion
too much travel.
A typical day at work would start off by updating sales from the day before, continuing on with regular routines. This was a co-op placement, so I was only at this job for a couple of hours a day. I had met new people, and it was something I will never forget. The hardest part of the job was waking up early to go to it, I had to be there for 7:30am. The part that I enjoyed the most, is the number of skills I had learned and the things I learned about myself.
