Nothing but good things to say about this company. A bit of a stuck up company attitude but, well deserved. They are a high end company dealing with high end clientele so, therefore, expectations are high
Above average salaries
Like your job, have a great smile, be professional, everyone is a potential customer, be polite and courteous to everyone thar enters the store.
Personal paid holiday day.
Nothing I can say negative about Holts I love working here, a great place to work.
Renfrew is one of high-end department store. I have so money coworker who are down to earth and caring people. Sometimes we have got together after work for drinks and dinner. Some times we do have potluck and birthday lunch together at work. The only things everyone hate is the schedule. There is no fixed day or fixed hour of work and every one works morning, after noon, weekday, weekend and status holiday. Specially if you have a family it is too hard to balance with family time. Other than the schedule the environment is very good, but there is high stress working condition specially on holiday and weekends.

Started working at Holts in the spring. Had to wait over a month for an interview and a onboarding session. The store is great and %90 of employees are super great. The managers are a tad under trained and not qualified for such fast paced operations. Be ready for managers to ask you one thing and tell you to do another.
Management incompetent, you don’t get paid enough to deal with the problems you get daily. Corporate team horrible and never improves, your voice as any employee isn’t taken into consideration. The only good thing about the job is how relaxed it is usually, but other than that if you don’t have a good team around you, it’s a massive headache and not worth the amount you get paid
Terrible work environment. Full of drama, favouritism and unhealthy competition. There is no place for advancement. They fire/hire and change employees very frequently.
Monthly events for employee interaction Can work from home Work life balance Opportunities to grow Great benefits - access to facilities for employees to destress
Monthly social events
Management communication could improve
Parties happens over there every couple of months. Nice people to working with. High efficiency and team work. it was a good experience for people who want to get into the retail industry.
This place went downhill a few years ago and has kept it's downward spiral. Poorly run by people who barely know what they are doing. Management treats their staff very poorly. Stay away!
