HollyFrontier Careers and Employment

About us
Originally incorporated in 1947 under the name General Appliance Corporation, the company became Holly Corporation in 1952. The corporation initially concentrated its oil and gas exploration efforts in the Southwestern U.S., later expanding with acquisitions of new companies and new refineries. In 2011, Holly Corporation and Frontier Oil merged, forming – more... the current HollyFrontier Corporation. The company currently operates five complex refineries, each in a different state, and has the capacity to produce 443,000 barrels of processed crude oil per day. Subsidiaries of HollyFrontier produce and market such products as specialty lubricants, asphalt, gasoline, diesel, heavy products, and jet fuel.

As one of the largest independent petroleum refiners in the country, HollyFrontier Corporation is an exciting place to work. The company maintains aggressive goals and believes that hiring and developing employees is the best way to meet its objectives. HollyFrontier has been named by Fortune as a "Best Managed Company" and has jobs in many different areas of expertise.

Both current and former employees of HollyFrontier Corporation express overwhelming approval of their leadership team, including the company's current CEO. Most employees state that the company "provides competitive pay and great benefits." Several have indicated that experience gained and training at HollyFrontier are top notch. While a few have criticized the company's conservative approach to doing business as well as a "lack of strong culture" at some of the locations.
