Hollister is a great place to work and is fun at times but the problem is that there is a sort of girls club at the management level to the point that they gang up on the male manager staff and nothing changes and no one listens. However the part time staff make the job fantastic and the discount is great. Benefits and pay make the job good. Management needs help.
Pros
Great Benefits and Pay
Cons
Management Clubhouse needs to be done with

it was pretty good. I had a few rough patches with some of the management however I think that overall the experience was really good. I learned a lot and my work ethic increased exponentially while being there.

Its a good job for minimum wage for a few months but it should be a the wage should increase depending on how well you work. There isn't a point in giving your 100% because you won't get acknowledged for it. It is just a basic job if you can't get any other job. You do need to be social and if you are a shy person this is not for you. The management is inexperienced when it comes to running a business. They just take orders from HQ and thats as good as they get when it comes to running a business. Its just regular people with no business knowledge as managers. Lots of drama, feels more like a social club rather than a job.

A typical day of work was very involved with other employees. I could easily learn how to assist customers with what they required. The most enjoyable part of the job was meeting the people who work there.

Shift scheduling allowed for flexibility around busy university schedules. Management was polite and easy to talk to if you were faced with any issues. Work was relatively easy which is nice break from university studies.

I have worked there part-time throughout University and it is a fantastic work culture. Very hectic during the holiday season, which makes for a fun experience.

Limited hours spread out over a lot of employees, barely any shifts given throughout a week, especially when it’s not a busy week.
No feedback is given if you’re doing something wrong your hours will just get cut.

If you’re looking for consistency this is not the place to apply.

Fun place to work, staff are friendly, management is not proper, must be on their good side to get good shifts and be treated nicely. Fun group of people. Customers are terrible.

Working at Hollister can put one's mind at ease as they can know they are entering a workspace that will always be willing to help you throughout your shifts (whether they be short or lengthy). Aside from the team aspect the store builds itself on, every co-worker is very sociable and always ready to build a friendship with new people. The hardest part of the job can be learning new things, such as how to package items for shipment, or how to memorize SKU numbers and what each section of the number means.

Shifts are usually only 4 hours long but could be longer if you have a closing shift. Customers can be very rude and pushy, this can mildly affect the rest of your day. Discount is really great but limited to amount a month.

if the managers don’t like you, your not getting hours. The only reason why work/ life balance is 5 stars is becuase you don’t get hours. They pick favourites and it shows. Also the people you work with aren’t so friendly, and the amount of work you do with all the clothes everywhere, and tables and tables of random piles of clothes that you have to stay after your shift is over just to clean up the place is not worth the minimum wage. i’m talking hours on end of folding and organizing, only if they just took care of it and maintained it to begin with, it wouldn’t be a mess.

If you’re a fast learner, or have some retail experience already, then it can be fun and worthwhile. If you’re unfamiliar, don’t expect much training or shifts. Hours are pretty low for everyone, but if you’re not an experienced or trained associate, then expect one shift a week if any. It’s a good job to have if you already have a part time job, or are a full time student, and shifts are usually easy to trade. Your work is rewarded with more hours, but asking questions is super important to doing well, because for the most part you’re expected to learn on your own. From what I’ve seen advancement is only open to people who are friends with the store/district manager and management is not afraid to hide their favouritism.
Pros
Fun associates and chill managers
Cons
No training and inconsistent hours

Selling the items available in store and online to customers of diverse cultures. I learned the value of teamwork and attention to detail in making the store an eye-catching shopping destination for various customers. The managment will always give advice to make it's employees better and more efficient with day to day tasks. Hollister's culture is inviting for new recruits and it sets the bar high enough to recruit as many employees as other clothing companies. The hardest and most fun part of the job is achieving the daily goals of the company with regards to making enough or more sales compared to the previous years'.
Pros
Great boosts in morale after making sales.
Cons
Working in the fitting rooms is boring and frustrating since there isn't any challenge in it.
