You can be servicing on various commercial food equipment from a scale in store to big industrial type dishwasher in a hospital. I find you will learn various skills through experience and education that will strength your mechanical and electrical skills. There are opportunities to advance in the company, if you wish or develop skills and knowledge that will help you if you want to progress in the trades outside Hobart. Pay not that great when compared to other trades and also work load can be stressful due to demand. You will be working on equipment more then 25 years old most of the time. You can end up into awkward situations, for example a food wrapping machine thats broken down, in a big store needs to be up and running like yesterday.
Good place to improve your electrical and mechanical skill set
Pay is not that great and work and life balance
If you're a tech looking to become better this is a good place to start. They adhere to safety proceedures. They promote safe work practices. They supply the appropriate P.P.E. But the corporate culture is invading. Techs are subhuman.
Techs aren't human.
