Warning Coop Students - Unless you're extremely desperate, stay away. Even then be looking ELSEWHERE
The worst coop nightmare you can dream of. Beware of joining this company. Please please please unless you're extremely desperate, stay away. The company lives off coop students cuz they don't like paying
Can go to work in your pjs
The worst company I've worked for. Pay rate lower than legal requirements. No benefits. Management staff can't speak English. Official language is Thamil. Never was appreciated. Only yelled at. The company runs on coop students or job agencies who give them a rebate for hiring you. Racist environment. Management will never trust you. Worst employer ever
Get paid cash for extra hours if they like you
Nothing. Can't think of anything
There is only one word to describe this place: Incompetent. The managers make it very stressful for their employees, always want more while paying minimum. They don't really appreciate your effort even though you tried and did your best. The place itself is unorganized and everything is confusing.
Co-workers can be fun to work with.
Minimum wage, no benefit, no sick day, lots of stress. Expect to be treated like robots.
Coop students work like slaves. Get paid $300. Around $4 per hour. Most of the full time employees get paid cash. It was the worst placement ever. The managers themselves are confused. Very bad working environment
If you're a favorite, you'll get cash
Nice boss but poor management level staffs on the floor who does not have the right qualifications to fill in the responsibilities of the position. Very political.
Students and newbie are welcome
Labour intense, under pay compare to current market salary range.
Working at HiTech Bay was a good experience to learn about PC and laptop hardware. Once you have an order paper, you need to assemble the specs that are given. The motherboard is already in place so all you need to do is pop in the RAM, hard drive, and anything else that's been added such as a graphics card. The workers are very friendly and helpful which is especially good as a co-op student since your goal is to learn on the job. Even if management points out a mistake that was made it's not done in a way where it seems like you're in huge trouble. They'll explain what you did wrong and how to fix it or avoid it next time. Overall, I would recommend any student who wants to learn about computer hardware to apply to HiTech Bay.
Friendly environment, opportunities to learn, occasional BBQ
Can be a little difficult to get to by transit (infrequent bus schedule)
Perfect place for a computer technician to experience the environment and learn as much as he/she can
Flexible working arrangements. Very understanding and supportive Manager. Lots of opportunity to work in different areas. The job can be a little monotonous, perhaps if there were other duties added to the role, it would make the experience working at HITECH BAY INC, Full time employees are very friendly and guides the students in all possible ways to finish the tasks and makes them learn maximum about the things they are dealing with,
There will be some parties. In our time we enjoyed the trip to darlington beach, enjoyed playing cricket.
