Interview questions are matched to the job being recruited for.
We like to learn about your past experiences as we believe past behaviours are often a good predictor of future behaviours.
Sometimes questions are asked about what you would do in a particular situation.
The recruiting process always involves past employment references, a pre-employment medical and depending on the position, other qualification checks.

For me personally, I wasn't asked many typical interview questions. I was more asked questions like, "How well can you handle this?" and, "Do you think this is something you'd like to do?"
