Bad Management
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) - North York, ON - 5 January 2020
While on the phone helping clients to solve problems, if the call takes longer time, manager would call your via 2nd line and urge you drop the call to pick up another call... Very stressful working under such management

Pretty Good Place To Work
Customer Service Representative (CSR) (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 8 November 2019
The hours were good and the pay was good too. I worked there as a university student and lived at home so I didn't have many expenses to cover. If I was living in Toronto I probably would be a little more stressed about the pay. Overall a good place to work. Great management and co-workers.

Not much to say.
Vice President, Client Services & Operations (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 3 November 2019
I appreciated my time there. I do not want to write more than I have to. The ratings speak for themselves.
Thank you Heritage for the happy memories.

Friendly and family environment that works together
Sales Success Advisor (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 24 September 2018
When you come in to work, I would immediately tackle my tasks. Greeting and being greeted in the morning and sharing stories of what happened the previous night or over the weekend.
I've learned a great deal about the RESP and how the system works. Advanced my technical skills and accepted the challenges with new tasks that would advance my knowledge and skills.
Management were easy to talk to, approachable and were able to take your ideas into consideration.
The hardest part of the job was trying to complete assignments, when you are already working on another.
The most enjoyable part of the job was the people.
Pros
free lunches, activities and recognition when it came to birthdays and work anniversaries
Cons
salary wasn't the greatest and the increases never fit your job review and profile.

Dealing Associate (Former Employee) - Saskatoon, SK - 17 April 2018
This is a place where you are constantly pushed to be the best version of yourself. If you want to make a difference in the lives of Canadian children and their families, this is a good place to be.

productive job working from home mostly
Sales Representative (Current Employee) - Toronto, ON - 30 November 2016
The company was a respected one providing necessary services i.e. RESPs for families.
All sales people are self-employed so commission-based.
We all therefore worked from home, had weekly/once-per-month meeting. I learned my joy of helping. We helped each other as necessary. There was no really hard part of the job...the joy of visiting families to set them up made the job worth it.
I was an RESP sales person.
Pros
Visiting and helping families
Cons
may be very far from home and usually had to go evenings as parents work

Good company to work with
Dealing Representative (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 11 July 2016
Its a good company to work with. There is no permanent salary as its a sales job. I enjoy each day at work. Management is good. Don't meet my coworkers on a daily basis as i don't meet them. Hardest day at work is when i don't close a sale

Good financial company
customer service representative (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 14 December 2015
Financial institution that is based on RESP's. All departments have different tasks just as in any office. A fun business environment. If you are in customer service department you will deal with complex inquires and rules that constantly change and you must learn. Training is an intense ONE week or less as opposed to other financial institutes are a month or longer.
Pros
Good financial institution with a lot of team building events, free lunches, seminars
Cons
Hard to become full time employee, forever giving contracts or extensions. No time line to become f/t

Good job but difficult to get started.
Sales Representative (Current Employee) - Saskatoon, SK - 16 April 2013
Heritage Education Funds Inc. offers an excellent product and great opportunity for those who want to put money aside for their children's education. The job and product are solid, however, it can be difficult to get started because you have to prospect your own leads, market your own brand, perform sales presentations, and provide quality customer service. It is the all in one sales rep. If you are able to get well connected and build a book of clients, it is a very rewarding position for both earning and work/life balance.
Pros
freedom, great product, earning potential
Cons
lack of structure
