Coordinator of Transportation and Meals on Wheels (Former Employee) – Orillia, ON – 16 March 2018
Helping Hands is a very energetic and fast paced work environment that does not believe in work life balance but believes in work life integration. The senior Management team is excellent to work with and the organization as a whole is very transparent.
Volunteer (Current Employee) – Toronto Gore, ON – 3 April 2018
I and a couple others make care packages once or twice every other month. In these care packages we put necessities for both homeless men and women which can help them in their day to day. We also donate clothes food and water to shelters around Toronto. All volunteers distribute food care packages to the people in need we walk on the streets and give help to those that are in need. We also spread love, and kind messages so others could be inspired and also wish to lend a helping hand. Volunteering to help others is the most enjoyable part, just to brighten someones day and knowing you have made a little bit of a difference. Every hand that helps counts! and that is what I learned the most by volunteering with the Helping Hands.
General Labourer (Former Employee) – Hamilton, ON – 26 February 2018
the program really helped me on my way, it just wasn't for me. I have severe anxiety and depression. mostly social anxiety so going into someone else's house, wondering right at the door you already messed up and seem rude to them. Apologies to whomever reads this I went on a bit of a tangent there. 150 characters, really?
Early Childhood Assistant (Former Employee) – Pickering, ON – 7 January 2017
the co-workers were easy to get along with, I enjoyed working with a great supportive team. I learned many skills that can be utilized when working with children who have identified exceptionalities. working with a wide variety of ages was also something that can be challenging.
Business Owner (Current Employee) – Minden, ON – 24 October 2016
I loved working for myself. Unfortunately we live in a tourist community so its not year round, or I would do it all year. I have been doing this for a long time and work with a great group of clients.

Community Support Worker (Former Employee) – Orillia, ON – 28 March 2015
This is local Orillia Ontario Canada home care agency for seniors and disabled. Did have CCAC government contract but had it taken away due to the poor management structure and management being hired more worried about their own egos and criticizing good support workers than improving the care provided by agency to clients.
more independent care giving
very poor supervisors more concerned with their own egos than anything
