Environnement de travail désagréable et dévaleurisant

Il y a beaucoup de roulement, les employés quittent ou bien sont renvoyés sans une raison valable par les gestionnaires. L'hypocrisie règne! L’incivilité est réellement une problématique dans cette entreprise. Les gestionnaires n'ont pas vraiment tous les outils pour intervenir adéquatement dans les cas de commérage. Les supérieurs organisent des réunions pour parler sur le dos de quelqu'un. Pas de conciliation travail-famille, aucune compréhension. Donc je n'ai jamais vécu cela dans mes anciens postes de travail. Je vous déconseille fortement ce lieu de travail toxique.

Overall, it is a great place to work; 3 weeks of vacation and 5 personal days is a huge bonus; really appreciate flexibility to work remotely. However, the compensation is below the market average.

Excellent place to work if you want a balance in your life and work

Since I started at Harris, the culture made me feel that I am part of something. The access that you have to talk to your managers and managers above is incredible. Will recommend to be part of Harris to all the people that I know. Also they make sure that you don't have an overload or have to work overtime.

Très déçu par cet endroit plein de promesses, tout semble parfait jusqu’à ce que la tension monte, personne n’ose parler, oops qqun pleure et parle oups qqun est mis à la porte. Opps plus personne n’ose parler encore une fois…terrible endroit où tout n’est qu’illusion et faux

Fast paced, great people, lots of work

I liked the fast pace of working at Harris. I was always busy with regular tasks but dear god there were SO MANY meetings! All day every day it was meeting after meeting. I was thrown into a lot of stuff when I just started that I wasn't really prepared for that also wasn't my actual job so it got to be stressful. I did like the people and teams I was working with. Everyone was always helpful with one another to get the job done.

Great interview process

The interview was fairly easy however the referencing process requires work. Past employers don't just fill in a questionnaire with a person calling to explain the process.

Great work atmosphere

Lots of firms out there talk about core values and work life balance. I came to Harris from such a company whereby all of the statements and ethics they “stood by” were just words with no substance. Harris says what they mean and mean what they say. Respect the individual is on of the companies core values. Co workers are very helpful and management is very supportive. Being in the twilight of my career and am very happy that I moved to Harris before calling it a career. Very welcome change in my opinion and would strongly recommend anyone to apply our postings.

Great Company to work for

Harris Computer does a great job at putting their employees first! Though it is a big company, they do a great job at keeping true to their culture.The managers really encourage growth and give you all the tools you need to succeed. The experience can vary from one Business to another, but from personal experience, the corporate is great!

Beginning was rather accommodating, you are given a positive impression of growth and balance opportunities. After three months, the expectations skyrocket. It's hard to move up from there

Poor opportunities, empty promises

Business unit is generally functional but massive turn over happens annually. If you want to advance you have to leave and they are happy to see you go. Lots of empty promises about advancement with no follow up action.

Pros: Free breakfast on Fridays (no longer due to COVID), Company event such as beach day, corporate day, and other social events Cons: Terrible management. Work is divided unevenly between coworkers, Upper management only cares about the money coming in to hit their bonuses. Hard to get help from coworkers as the work is not consistent between the different Business Units

Workload is not worth pay depending on the Business unit you get placed in

Great learning opportunity!

Accounts Receivable Clerk/Collections (Former Employee) - Ottawa, ON - 28 April 2020

The team that I worked with dealt with Accounts Receivables of US-based schools. I enjoyed the challenges and the ability to learn new skills (in-house training courses, etc). I was responsible for invoicing, working with customers to resolve any issues, collections of invoices, processing deposits and preparing and providing collections statistics/metrics to the 3 business units that I worked for. The workplace (office) was difficult due to noise from others travelling - often made it difficult to make calls. I was permitted to work from home for 2 1/2 years to be able to assist my disabled/ill husband (which I was very grateful for), and I found it much easier to work from home as it was a lot quieter. The toughest part of the job was the excessive amount of work that was allotted to me - often working a lot of overtime (unpaid). My team mates were excellent, hard-working people.
