Personal Support Worker (Former Employee) – Mount Pleasant, ON – 26 January 2015
Fast pace every minute, bathing, feeding, assisting with Activities of Daily Living. I was on a behavioral unit that required eyes in the back of your head at all times, or a resident was on the floor or in the face of another, or worst getting out of a lock unit. You learn to move fast and keep an eye and ear open at all times. Management was not the greatest. Your fellow staff members were the only ones to help and trust when needed. Seeing residents that had no family to come in and visit them. The best part of this job is the faces of the residents and family when they see that a family member is being taking care of with great respect.
