So-so job
Inside Sales (Former Employee) –  Indiana19 July 2017
Not the worst job I have ever had and not the best job I have ever had. It is close to home. People are nice. Pay is just okay. Benefits are okay. Work is overwhelming at times.

Great company, bad branch manager.
Operations Manager/Sales/Warehouse Manager (Current Employee) –  Houston, TX13 April 2017
Branch manager cares more about work relationships than work productivity. If you are his friend rather than a great worker you have a better chance to succeed.

Great People, Bad Compensation Structure
Inside Sales Representative (Former Employee) –  Elkhart, IN8 October 2015
If you started with Hardwoods 20 years ago and are still on the team, congratulations you are probably making pretty sweet money. If you are working in the warehouse or inside sales you get squat. Even though they ask the guys on the desk to manage multimillion dollar accounts they pay $33,000/yr with an expensive (but good) insurance policy. Need to initiate profit sharing and get into the 21st century with the training and compensation of new employees.
Pros
Great Culture
Cons
Poor Starting Pay

Admin Assistant/AR/AP (Former Employee) –  Renton, WA2 August 2015
Loved the work and the customers. Didn't like the drama or lack of work from co-workers. Enjoyed the upper management and managers. Always willing to help out whether personal or business.
Pros
benefits, learning new things
Cons
co workers fooling around too much drama

Good company on a National level
SALES REPRESENTATIVE (Former Employee) –  Grand Rapids, MI18 March 2014
While over all a good company, you can get a not great experience at the division level because of some loose controls on Management.

Credit Manager (Former Employee) –  Arlington, TX22 June 2012
Excellent work environment and great individuals to work with. A large company based out of Canada so a bit impersonal at times, but does well considering the size of the company.
Pros
excellent pay and benefits
