Crew Driver in New Westminster, BC

Only work here if you have no family life and have a retirement pension coming in
This company expects their drivers to be on called 12 hours a day 4 or 5 days a week nights/days or weekends. NO MINIMUM pay for being on call or benefits. If you work 2 hours out or the 12 you make $40.18 less taxes and union dues and less what it cost you to get to location to pickup your van for each call out, for that day. ( can't support a family like that plus). Company says it's the nature of the job being on call but doesn't pay a MINIMUM or anything at all for sitting by the phone for 12 hours. Seems management is afraid to put in fixed schedules, so the senior drivers run rampant. Work when they think it will be busy and don't when it's not so new drivers get to sit and wait at home with no pay for the day if it's slow. The pay checks are hardly ever correct so your have to complain to get paid correctly. This would be a good job for someone with out a life or family and has a steady disability income or is retired with a pension otherwise you won't make enough to live here
Light Duty Cleaner in Etobicoke, ON

Very bad workplace, a bad environment and tons of pressure.
I did work there for about 3 months and it was horrible!!The money that they pay for the work that a cleaner performs it's very low. I really don't recommend this job to nobody.

Rude people
My supervisor and the top management were rude people. They never appreciated my hard work honesty. Instead, they just kept pilling up more and more work for me. I felt unseen here.

Good place to work if you are responsible and Independent
Stable job, good for fast learners, responsible workers. Have to keep up with schedule and follow safety instructions. Job is physical, you need to be in good physical condition, be alert and aware of your surroundings.
Driver in Hope- Boston Bar
on 26 August 2021
Pay is way to low
Worked in Boston Bar for 2 months original terms and conditions of employment was Hallcon provided a work van to commute daily from Hope. Recieved email saying policy changed and I would be required to drive my own vehicle, 140km daily round trip. Low wages and different rates of pay for different locations for doing same job. If you want to work for a company that will try to pay you 83 cents an hour less than someone in another town doing the same job you deserve the low pay you recieve.
