Company has little to no compassion for employees that are working at store level. They have very high expectations for employees with very little rewards given. To receive any sort of bonus you have to achieve a high percent of your sales goal (125%+). They have a black out period during the holidays, so you are not allowed any time off, and are expected to work the entire way through.
They also have super low wages compared to other companies..
Sales Associate (Former Employee) – Vancouver, BC – 22 January 2019
The manager was not at all understanding. Being a part time student you can’t be there whenever they “need” you. Having said so you actually have to listen for going to school and not finding time for the store, because honestly they need you 24*7. Then there’s the issue of wearing just dynamite clothing. Which honestly isn’t that good but costly, so when once I was buying some pants, the manager literally said to my face “ you can’t buy that, I won’t allow you to wear it here”. Then there was the MOD! She was way too attitudic! Another MOD literally went to the manager with the complaint that she saw me talking on the sales floor with another employee. And because I was new, she scolded me and let the another employee go. The manager won’t listen to you even if you have an exam, according to her, the job is more important!
Pay you overtime
Poor management, long hours, no one to listen to you
Salaire, ambiance, pression, horaires trop changeants dernière minute
Manager (Former Employee) – Scarborough, ON – 20 August 2018
I worked for this company for 2 years as a manager and it is one of the most toxic companies I’ve ever worked for. Upper district managers have favourites in the company and will ensure those people succeed above people who genuinely work so hard. The managers who have taken over some stores now are incompetent and treat their staff poorly. I would never recommend working here.
Retail & Sales (Current Employee) – Burlington, ON – 27 July 2018
Great company to work with/for. Company cares for their girls and wants to make sure they are safe and heard/understood/validated. Some minor improvements could be done such as screening for management, advancements in job opportunities, more breaks, etc. Great girls to work with. Very supportive management team. Hardest part of the job is getting rejections by customers but that can be easily overcome with giving promotions to keep them coming back. The most enjoyable part of the job is spending one-on-one time with customers on slow days. Making personal connections with people and making them feel good in the clothing they choose makes the job that much better.
Coordonnatrice à l'importation (Current Employee) – Montréal-Ouest, QC – 11 July 2018
