Staff Accountant (Current Employee) – Seattle, WA – 5 October 2017
Managers vary, some allow for more work/home balance and others do not. Generally upper management does not take into consideration the global aspect of the company. So people are expected to be onsite for meetings with Europe in the morning as well as the evening meetings with china. This would be ok if employees could take time off during the day, however, more often, employees work the day through. Deadlines are not set up around holidays, leaving some departments coming in on holidays to complete time sensitive tasks. Work from home is looked down on at the seattle office. Also depending on your department, training is a not done effectively, Employees need to be self starting and problem solvers. Very little company incentives.
