Government of Saskatchewan
Government of Saskatchewan Employee Review
The perfect balance between professional and personal life.
Digital Product Manager (Current Employee) - Regina, SK - 2 November 2022
Working for the Saskatchewan government is without a doubt one of the best experiences of my life. The benefits are much higher than expected, the work is well paid, the team is highly qualified and this creates an environment that encourages you to keep growing and learning every day. Undoubtedly a great place to work.

Good work/life balance with the right Manager
Policy Analyst (Former Employee) - Regina, SK - 6 January 2023
Excellent benefits, but the pay now is lagging the private sector by a fair amount in many areas. Excellent work/life balance is the general rule, which is very helpful for people with young families etc.
Pros
Work/life balance, benefits
Cons
Pay increases are small

Pretty Easy-Going Workplace
Deputy Sheriff (Current Employee) - Regina, SK - 23 September 2022
Not very much Overtime/Only LVL 7 should be LVL 9, especially because you have the responsibility of a firearm and dealing with inmates, public and investigations. Management should set up the onboarding process a lot better. Problem is they need more staff in order for their new recruits to be trained properly and in a timely manner. New management is learning the ropes. No issues so far, easygoing, approachable, open to new ideas. As for the job it can be fairly easy depending where you are working. Once you get a hang of everything and are all trained the job is pretty repetitive and not that challenging. But dealing with the public can be.
Pros
A relatively easy career once you experience all the postings, and learnt all the roles.
Cons
Not LVL 9
