Gotcare is a wonderful company to work for, they really value there employees.Con; they’re not popular enough to have clients in a lot of places. So not consistent shifts or hours.

To many coordination no communication

Always setting you up with clients and then to much complicated steps to get the client and then find out the client moved on. After being ready to work the hours they have given me.

The pay is better than some home care companies but still falls below a livable wage. If you are lucky enough to find a client in your area with a decent amount of hours it’s worth it, however, many clients are ones that require minimal hours per day so you are still doing the traveling. Mileage is not paid by Gotcare and the job is extremely difficult to do if you rely on TTC. Be sure to interview the client first to see what their needs are and what you will be required to do. The care plan is provided by the client and you are not overseen by anyone, it’s you that takes on any risks in accepting the position. Gotcare will advise you to not accept jobs you don’t feel comfortable with. I recommend acquiring liability insurance for PSWs for anyone providing services in someone’s home.The staff at Gotcare are great and approachable and try to work with PSWs to find the clients just right for them. As a new company you can tell they are trying to make home care a job with dignity of choice and acceptable pay for PSWs where many, many other agencies fail. Hopefully, benefits and pensions will be added in the future as these are things that ALL PSWs deserve.

Great Company to work for

Having 18 years of experience as a PSW , I can compare different health care companies and agencies, either working for them , or working with staff from them. The Business profile and work Culture of GotCare are the Best of the Best! New, innovative company , with great management that listens and respects their employees.

I enjoy working for Got Care. Texts and emails are promptly read and responded to. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Love being my own boss. Making my own hours and choosing which clients I want to care for.

Flexible schedule and great management

Great work/life balance. It takes awhile to get clients but when you do, you get to create your own schedule.

I worked for GOTCARE as a private home care PSW. The part I liked about GOTCARE is they have clients who are close to you so you’re not traveling to far to care for them. Very flexible with scheduling, I was going to school and working. I was able to choose as many hours as I liked and I picked up more when I could. They have an app to track your hours and to clock in & out of which client you’re with that day.

Working for this corporation or company was very stress free the fact that nobody was hanging over your every move made it very relaxing basically run your own schedule with your clients makes it an amazing experience I would definitely work for these people again and I would definitely recommend that If you have a chance these are great people for. pay was always on time with no issues. when I had a problem the staff was always there with in 24 hrs 2ith answers.

Gotcare is an amazing company to work for. The management team is very professional and supportive. They genuinely care about their staff and client, and treat them with respect. They are easy to reach and always ready to help. I highly recommend Gotcare!

Accomodating Management

I was interviewed by GotCare then by the private client. Their model is to match and pair both the CG and client so they do not have a turnstyle front door organization. GotCare PROMOTES relationship building with the paired PSW's and clients unlike other organizations that I've worked for. Amazing experience! I would work for GotCare ANY time!

I have been working for Gotcare , for just over a year and it is by far the best job that I’ve had. The company truly cares about their employees and it shows when you call in for support/with questions. It has been amazing meeting clients, and working directly with them to pick a schedule that works for both parties. I have built relationships with my clients and it makes going to work a happy place to be.

I have just started with GotCare and was blown away by their care philosophy not only for their clients but also for their staff. They take care of both and it shows in action not just lip service. They are some of the nicest people I have spoken to in this industry thus far. They understand the needs of the clients and staff and have some really neat strategies to make it happen. I look forward to working with them more in the future.

I have to recommend Gotcare! I actually felt that I was important, a person, not just an employee. When I called I had someone answer the phone with "hello (insert my name)" it was a breath of fresh air. I didn't have to jump through hoops to speak to someone. Although I only worked with Gotcare for almost a year, it was a year of non-stress, as I knew if I had a problem, they were only a phone call away! Amazing company to work for!! Looking forward to being offered another job soon!

You are matched with clients near your postal code which means you are not working too far from home. Salary is competitive too. Help from management is just a text away as they are easily reachable and they care about the welfare of both their clients and employees.

Pros

Good pay, work when you want to, work within your postal code area.

Cons

Not enough hours yet to make it your main job, so this is a good side job. Hopefully in the future there will be more hours.

I absolutely loved my job with got care. I had to take a leave but I would go back 100%. They are super flexible and do such an amazing job connecting you with the perfect client for you and connect you with the client that needs you. Staff and management is so easy to speak to and communication is always open.

I am loving this company. It allows me the freedom and flexibility to work with my client and have a schedule that best suits us both. I as well as my client have total autonomy to ensure a regular routine is ensured so that all parties are comfortable and tasks are completed. I’m very satisfied with the rate of pay. Got care is wonderful to work for, love the fact that gotcare does not interview for the job it is up to the client to do the "interview" process which is great because overall it is the client you will be working for and with, so the client can see if the worker is a fit for them and what they need , client and worker agree on a schedule within themselves ! Very flexible especially when you have a family and other commitments

Having been working in health care for many years you get to see a lot. Since I have been on board with GotCare I am beyond impressed. Carol and all the staff are always helpful, supportive and professional. Wonderful company and proud to be a part of their team. :)
