Overall good experience
Very good training process and experience. The biggest thing needed to work on is their break time. Staff should be given more time in between lessons. Shift coverage is also an issue but what can you expect working with teenager coworkers.

Terrible place to work
DO NOT WORK HERE. Management is a nightmare they treat their employees terribly! There is 0 work life balance and your expected to be on call 24/7 and not compensated! Management is the ultimate micromanagers. Pool chemicals cause the employees to get severe rashes and they don't care about your problems or personal life. Run for the hills if offered a position here.

Don't work here
There were clear biases with manager and other employees. No breaks, teaching for 5-6 hours non stop, would be impossible to go to the bathroom. Having to have constant energy and being told to smile, having to deal with difficult parents. Pay should be higher because you're expected to do everything. The pool was never clean and the ph wasn't constant multiple peoples skins were rashing. Getting in trouble for not being able to come to a shift because you're sick and impossible to find coverage. Always being talked down to, like you don't know what you're doing, very little respect from the staff Worked there for 6 months in 2020 and I hated every shift, would not recommend to anyone.

It’s not a City job but great experience
Having worked for the City for the past few years the pay isn’t obviously as great here, it’s a private company so I get it, the city pools were closed so I took this opportunity and I don’t regret it. I know the owners have changed and I do t see anything that would put me off working here, great team and some I school with, fun and colourful environment. If you like teaching kids this is the place to be.....

Positive and Supportive Environment
Working at Goldfish has been a great experience for me. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The recent change in management has changed the work atmosphere for the better. The managers are very approachable and supportive. Working with kids is great, instructors do not have to do lesson plans or assessments of students. Advancement opportunities are frequently available. I have greatly appreciated their flexibility with hours and taking time off.
