Better off at McDonald's flippin' burgers

Management is absolutely moronic in terms of fairness or job advancement. Seen a massive amount of qualified candidates get let go because company does not want to pay for good workers. They prefer to save a few bucks and hire inexperienced workers instead. This company is on top of its game when it comes to Constructive Dismissal.

Archaeological Field Technician

Archaeology Field Technician (T1) (Former Employee) - London, ON - 9 December 2019

It was typical entry level field tech work. The staff at the London office were great, very fun to work with and open. There was little room for advancement due to the structure of the department. I expressed interest in advancing and even got an R license to help with the possibility of promotion but was never given the opportunity. The work was sporadic, which is typical of archaeology but worse than other companies. The work culture is intense, a lot is expected of you considering the pay you get. The field environment is often stressful and concerning larger projects its downright inhospitable.

monday to friday work hours. environmental sampling in the field. the work was great and enjoyable but the pay was not great which was the reason for leaving.
