Project Manager & Environmental Scientist (Former Employee) - Edmonton, AB - 24 September 2018
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedVery busy office with lots of young people doing field works. Enjoyed the fast pace and team work.Work is very linear with lots of similar projects for the client. Health and Safety culture is great as it is put first over getting the job done. If something is going to take longer to be safe then its done the safe way.
Pros
Great team
Cons
Few opportunities to advance

Great Place to Work
Environmental Scientist/Project Coordinator (Former Employee) - Edmonton, AB - 16 November 2019
I worked here as an Environmental Scientist and Coordinator for a couple of years. There are many advancement opportunities, for those that are wanting to stay with the company in thier stream of work. Pay is good. Benefits were good. Vacation time and Banked Time were fantastic. Overall company culture was second to none. The management team was amazing and really cared about me as a person and employee. Work life balance in a job that spends a lot of time in the field is difficult, but that is the job role and description that one is paid to do and is very fairly compensated for with options of banked OT for extra time off. Expect to work and be challenged. Great team to work with, and overall an amazing company that I really enjoyed working for.

Work life balance is heavily skewed towards work
ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTIST (Current Employee) - Edmonton, AB - 16 May 2017
The company has had a large turn around since I joined in 2015. It seems to be improving but the entry level workers seem to cycle every 2-3 years from what I've been told and am currently seeing.
Large amounts of field work with low diems, no standard overnight or out of town work bonuses, long hours in the field while typically working alone or supervising a few subcontractors.
The job does have great benefits, ability to bank your OT or take a payout, you can buy into the company (although I haven't heard of anyone doing that except senior management), and a flexible schedule.
Pros
Salaried with overtime bank or payout
Cons
Lots of travel, low diem payouts, expenses take weeks to reimburse, no travel or out of town compensation

Overall a good company to work for but really depends upon the individual group within the company
Environmental Scientist (Former Employee) - Mississauga, ON - 23 September 2014
A typical data includes coordination, management of fieldwork, lots of proposal and report writing, and data analysis. Learned a good mix of field work and business aspects. Co-workers are very smart individuals. Hardest part of the job is facing inflexibility from upper management. The most enjoyable part of the job is learning from colleagues.
