Super Corporate.
Senior Collector (Former Employee) –  Hamilton, ON18 February 2018
It's not a bad place to work, It's not a good place to work. It's very corporate.
The company is very generous and in return they expect a lot. Sometimes too much.
The company wants everyone doing and saying the same things.

They pretend you're family when it's a ploy to get you to continue to "upsell" to customers who can't afford the loans at the 50% interest they already have.

There's very little room for advancement and they ALWAYS hire from the outside. If you can't or don't promote from within, your wasting peoples time.

They go through upper management constantly. They'll put anyone in any management job "temporarily" until they hire the next person who's not suited for the job.

They also dismiss you after years of employment and when you ask why " We don't have to tell you" is the response you'll get.
Pros
money, free food, sports teams
Cons
super corporate, management, no room for advancement

Misleading and not clear
Store Manager (Former Employee) –  Kitchener, ON5 February 2018
There is a lot of contradictory in the way they run the business and it is not clear when to use it. There is not much room to grow as they only have 5 positions in the store and to move up after that is unrealistic.

Branch Manager (Former Employee) –  Hamilton, ON29 January 2018
Poor Pay for the responsibilities put on you.
Poor Upper Management
Shady sales practices
Boarderline harassment collections practices.
GREAT people.
Good to use as a stepping stone, but is certainly not career worthy.
The company needs to take a deep look at their regional managers and the shady practices they are requesting of the store managers and subordinates.
Pros
friendly people, good stepping stone
Cons
poor management, poor staffing, terrible work/life balance.

Very shady business practices
Leasing Specialist (Current Employee) –  Halifax Regional Municipality, NS30 December 2017
I honestly don't understand how a public traded company gets away with it. Creating fake sales during their open house only to delete them after the figures have been reported and an increase in business? That's creating a false impression which ought to be reported and investigated. Salespeople are always pressured to have numbers on the books which create this false practice. The regional manager for my district is the worst for this. She always encourages us to create "false fake sales" so she does not look bad. Always expected to work late hours without compensation.I would not recommend this organization to anyone. The only reason I am still here is that I have not found another job.
Pros
great collegues mand fun way to meet desperate people with poor credit.

Financial Service Representative (Current Employee) –  Stoney Creek, ON9 December 2017
You will be expected to break policy and go to shady lengths to meet your target sales goals, as well as your delinquency targets.

Management bullies staff and relies on fear tactics to get staff to comply.
Pros
Great benefits, free coffee

Morally bankrupt

Regional Manager (Former Employee) –  Entire country for 6 month, ontario28 November 2017
Work anywherelse, use you for what you know and worth and if you have a life besides work they dump you like a bad rash, if you kiss enough buttocks and praise incompetent leadership this is the place for you. You will do well if you obey and listen to those who guess and have no idea about many things, but to take advantage of employees and especially customers.
Pros
Advancement possibilities
Cons
No life outside your job, 24/7 expectation

Do not recommend working here
Leasing Agent (Former Employee) –  Bc29 October 2017
The manager was very misleading. He outright lies to customers and expects others to cover for him. Training was next to nothing. Sit you in front of a computer for a day or two to watch videos then expect you to be good enough to work on your own. started off full time and was cut back to part time after three months. Pay was decent. this job is basically telemarketing. You will spend most of your time on the phone calling people every day.
You are not allowed to lease or buy used furniture if you work there
Pros
Pay was okay
Cons
Lying to customers. Not full time hours. Telemarketing.

Customer Retention Specialists (Former Employee) –  Penticton, BC3 June 2017
A terrible place place to work or buy. Its a scam through and through. They charge 29.9% interest, the max allowed, and usually to poor people who cant afford it. Then they just repo the product and re-lease and sell it. Management all the way to the top push ANY means to sell product.

No one ever wants to take responsibility for their actions. MAINLY MANAGERS. managers themselves go against store policies, never work here unless there is nothing else, best part of the day is going home, there was no enjoyable part of this job, they take advantage of their employees, dont pay overtime and you never get use your holidays unless you fight for them.

Do not work here unless you want to sacrifice your integrity, or your very soul. Management is hopeless and mercenary. If you have even a bit of intelligence - you will be the smartest person in the room. You aren't helping people, your job is to hurt them.

Best part of the day leaving worst part coming back. Management does not care about you or any medical conditions you deal with every day and try to get time off for a medical appointment. They make you take your day off no excuses. Some staff great people stuck in a bad place. Promises of transfers closer to home for family reasons never happen.
Pros
some great people

False promises and lazy management, no such thing as team work in this company branches fight and hate each other. They push you to sell added products that are totally useless just to make more money of struggling customers. You do not get paid overtime, managers change your clock in to make sure of that and they also change their clock ins so they can come to work very late and leave early or do not come to work at all. You are always alone in the branch (even if you just started) which means you do work that is supposed to meant for 3 people. Bonuses are a joke. Dont ever bother.

Duplicate Review
Branch Manager (Former Employee) –  Winnipeg, MB9 December 2016
Easyfinancial provides an incredible package of benefits and fair salaries but are dragged down by their fear and inability to hire employee's externally, instead hiring internal unprepared workers into executive management positions.

In what should be a friendly, helpful customer experience is shadowed by a fast-paced, product-hungry team that would rather fool customers into taking additional products rather than provide them with the lowest cost financial assistance which they claim to do in order to hit bonus targets that are otherwise not achievable.

Just another company that claims to be here for individuals in financial crisis, but at the end of the day are motivated not by the happiness of their customers but the amount of revenue they can get out of each one.
Pros
Benefits, Incentives, Annual Conference (Branch Manager and higher status), Fair Salary, Growth
Cons
No work/Life balance, Unpaid labor, Long hours, Hours change without proper notice, Inachievable targets, Favoritism

Financial Services Representative (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON27 November 2016
Lazy managers as all the work gets done by the financial services Representative.
Although the tendency to grow is likely for anyone who knows the job.
Pros
Free coffee and career advancement is very possible
Cons
No work life balance at all. If you love to spend quality time with your family, then this job is not for you. Greedy and selfish management
