QA (Current Employee) – Mississauga, ON – 2 May 2017
Till date it is the best pharma company i have ever worked in. They actually care about their employees and products they produce rather than quantity. Only downside is that they usually hire people on contract. they may renew it once or twice.
Technical Team Member (Former Employee) – Mississauga, ON – 11 April 2017
Lots of repetitive duties. Good cafeteria. Great indoor gym. Care for employees health. Hires contract employees and tough to get a full-time job. some of the best topicals.
Global Program Manager (Former Employee) – London, UK – 4 April 2017
GSK puts their people and patients first. It's a company striving to ensure everyone had good work life balance, while also ensuring you develop skills to carry you forward. It is a huge company and sometimes challenging politically, however everyone is aware of their contribution to helping people do more, feel better, live longer.
Pros
Good development
Cons
Lack of job security as the organisation expands into the emerging markets
Horrible team and culture at the Medical Information department
Medical information specialist (Former Employee) – Mississauga, ON – 10 March 2017
The medical information team is unsupportive and unprofessional. Honestly the rudest people I have ever worked with. Their knowledge is definitely subpar/not up to date. They are far from drug experts, and I would never call them for drug information, just read the product monograph instead.
MDPI Technologist (Current Employee) – Ware, UK – 4 March 2017

Employee (Current Employee) – Mississauga, ON – 2 November 2016
GSK is a good company with good pay, generous benefits including a subsidized cafeteria, good work life balance programs, fitness centre onsite, comfortable work area.
Too much change continues to happen so it feels like a very unstable environment for managers and employees.
Employee (Current Employee) – Mississauga, ON – 2 November 2016
Good company with lots of benefits including good pay, cafeteria, fitness centre, generous benefits, generous vacation policy, ability to work from home. Lots of downsizing. More focus on systems than people.
Production Coordinator (Former Employee) – Mississauga, ON – 11 July 2016
Was a very good place to work, good people , salary , many opportunity to learn something new , attend courses, management was very good, helping and motivated to work better and smarter
General Territory Representative (Current Employee) – North York, ON – 29 April 2016
Fairly typical, home office, sales role. You can make your own hours but expectations to perform are high. Sales management is very good, but overall GSK leadership is mediocre. Sales representatives are no longer based on sales, but on more subjective "good sales rep behaviors".
Territory Specialist, Respiratory Sales (Former Employee) – Toronto, ON – 3 February 2016
Working with exceptionally talented and fun colleagues was a highlight. In sales, no two days are the same which adds to the charm of the job and keeps you on your toes. I have had a great time working on the company's biggest product portfolio and helping patients get access to the latest medicines available.
