Work here only if it's a last option
Product Release (Current Employee) –  Kanata, ON12 February 2019
This workplace will give you minimal training and expect results from you immediately. Don't expect any sort of work/life balancing here as they expect you to be there over any other major event that may happen in your life. The management is atrocious, constantly favoring either their own family whom works there or their clique. Raises are non-existent and if you have to bus to work expect a long wait at the end of the shift. The only plus is the job security as they have a hard time finding people willing to work for them so those that do they 'try' to keep.
If you aren't able to be accepted into the clique than you can expect long days of stress and any issue that arises will ultimately be blamed on you.
Stay away unless you can't find any other work. Flipping burgers is better than this hellhole.
Pros
Good luck finding a Pro here
Cons
Too many to list.

If you like a workplace with a poor atmosphere, employees are unhappy, employers acknowledge and approve bullying, and nobody respects anybody, then this is just the place for you.

Marketing Coordinator (Current Employee) –  Ottawa, ON27 December 2017
Love that I get to come to work every day and learn something new. There is an endless amount of knowledge in the company and always an opportunity to learn. I have a lot of freedom to pursue what interests me as a marketer which keeps me motivated and excited to come to work.

Account Manager (Former Employee) –  Kanata, ON19 April 2017
Typical day sit with your face to your computer and backs to your co-workers. Everything is communicated via email internally and externally. No windows, no natural light.
I learned about different systems and programs mostly from co-workers willing to share their knowledge. Overtime learned about the printing Industry on many levels. Co-workers are awesome once your allowed into the "click". Nothing was really hard but I guess it's was learning the formulas used in excel for efficient reporting. My co-workers, no overtime, work/life balance and no micro management were refreshingly enjoyable.
Pros
Large Cafeteria w/responsible prices, Wonderful Co-workers, Lots of free parking
Cons
No Formal Training Process, HR department, Raises/Salary Increases 10yrs+, respect Employees, 3 sick days a year includes doc appts then taken off your vacay time which is only 2 wks, Benefits lacking usefulness.

Bindery Clerk (Current Employee) –  Kanata, ON17 March 2017
A day at Gilmore in the bindery department can be a fast environment, completing orders for the client to the dockets specifications, ensuring the order is done right and no errors have been made.

I have learned, time management, learned to work as a team with outers.
Pros

Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Kanata, ON28 February 2017
My experience is that there is no team building and only individuals. Management or lack of, often criticised most employees. Turn around was high at a rate of 2 to 3 months for CSR. Low pay for high volume of work.

Mediocre place to work
Product Release Administrator (Former Employee) –  Kanata, ON24 February 2017
A typical day of work consisted of the following: 8-5 Monday to Friday and there were a lot of repetitive tasks. Close to your usual office job.

It seemed quite difficult to get promoted or get a raise.

However, it is a great place to start a career.
Pros
Good entry-level job
Cons
A bit unorganized

RECEIVING AND INVENTORY CLERK (Current Employee) –  Kanata, ON26 July 2016
I enjoy my current job however require a better salary due to the current rise in costs for daily living. There has been a wage freeze in effect for almost 10 years which is pushing me to find employment elsewhere. Otherwise it is a decent place to work.

This company has very poor management and benefits that are sub-par. There is no room for growth or raises and so you are stuck at low-paying even though they say otherwise at the beginning of employment.
Pros
free lunches, consistent hours
Cons
low pay, poor benefits, poor management

Fun Co-workers
Accounts Receivable Coordinator (Current Employee) –  Ottawa, ON10 November 2014
A typical day would include, me working at my desk for most of the day (unless there is a team meeting).
I report directly to my Manager and she reports to the CFO(Chief Financial Officer).
Most of the job is pretty straight forward. Once you get a grasp of the way things work, you will be OK and start enjoying it more.

The co-workers are very friendly and care about you.
Pros
Free Parking
Cons
Long hours (8am to 5pm)

File Manager (Current Employee) –  Kanata, ON3 September 2014
Receive jobs through coordinator in a docket outlining the job specs and what is required.

I've learned about the providing good feedback and communication to make sure work goes smoothly.

Hardest part of the job is the lack of instructions provided by clients and or coordinators.

Most enjoyable is getting to use creative and problem solving skills to speed up work, resolve issues with printing (colours or fonts)
Pros
Quiet office environment. Allowed to use headphones. Easy to grab a coffee from the cafeteria.
Cons
Low pay and lack of raises.
