The relentless grinding you have to go through to get anything done makes almost impossible to actually achieve anything. In short, the pay and benefits are relatively good, management mentality and structure is obsolete and the job culture is skew in favour of pretenders and not doers.
Many promises were made, not much to followup.
I was ready to work hard and show myself, but nobody in management cared. Empty promises+unhappy, overused employees= negative environment for anyone to work in..
Made promises that were not kept. Hired people with questionable past. Expected your hours to be very flexible Whalen you were told you would not have to work rotating shifts. Management consistently lied to staff.
Poor management, Extremely low pay, They neither fire employee nor they want pay fairly. They will double the employee workload and pay the minimum wage. They ask you to come weekends and take a week day off
Shift starts with checking the process parameters and machines are running well.
Check e-mails and respond to customers and vendors.
Sign off on the operators run
preparing or continuing work on any of my projects.
Eithering ordering from venders or making a process plan
We work as a team more than individual effort. We learn from senior staff about the layers of the business. Management is generally appreciative. Solving critical issues and long hours are the frequent challenges. A strong team working together is the most enjoyable part of the job.

Manufacturing (Former Employee) - markham, on - 8 September 2015
The best thing I can say about this place is that they keep it very clean. However, the pressure put on the workers isn't worth the pennies they pay you. Also, if you are looking for a rewarding career with room for advancement, start looking somewhere else. They do not promote employees from within except in rather rare cases. None that I can recall in my eight years there anyhow. The doors to get in and out of the building are revolving doors for more reasons than one.
Clean secure environment
always looking for ways to cut costs usually at the employees expense
