Once was a great place to work, but management changed and safety, job security and morale all went with it.

I worked for this company not once but twice. The first time i was new to generators and was given the opportunity to learn and advance within the ranks. When i returned for a second "tour of duty" i was given a lot more responsibility and placed in more of a leadership role. I helped grow the service dept and had a great relationship with their customers, however things changed when management changed. I survived a few service managers but was ultimately let go due to my high salary. Myself, along with in my opinion the best diesel mechanic I've ever known were terminated for absolutely no fault of our own. We were told that the company was going in another direction. My response was, is that direction down? it was explained to me that GENREP would rather hire kids from the school for 15/hr than pay me $30. My colleague and I were released and we went to our shop to work on cars while plotting our next move. We ultimately went to GAL together.
Private (Current Employee) – Mississauga, ON – 18 January 2018
I've been with Genrep for over two years now, within that time I have had many great experiences, and have been on a few company trips.
Whats unique about Genrep is they give opportunities to people with less experience to allow them to grow. For people looking to actually make a difference in a company and be a part of something. Genrep gives you the chance to use the skills gained in your chosen post-secondary, Genrep really is a great place.
Genrep is meant for hard working people that know there has to be effort put in and teamwork is paramount. The team is hardworking, passionate and fun. I would recommend this place to anyone that has a passion for growth for themselves as well as for the company they are working for.
