Relaxed ,outside,and a lot of traveling.

The foreman was excellent to work for.The pace was not pushed but you had to get the job done to stay ahead of the contractors. Sometimes dusty from contractors machines. I enjoyed working there.

Great place to work and become well rounded

I am a current employee of GEMTEC and it is a great company to work for. There is a small firm feel between coworkers but the security of a large firm. When I started with GEMTEC 7.5 years ago I had little experience but they were quick to put me into situations to gain experience and provide guidance when needed. One thing that could be perceived to be a con may be that the summers and falls are very busy with winters generally slowing down. I find this is great as hit pushes me to complete tasks when it is busy and gives an opportunity to explore new ways of working, and get training during the slower times of the winter. GEMTEC is very flexible with any vacation time I have needed despite the season, and management is understanding of peoples home life as well. There will always be hard days at any job but that makes it even more enjoyable when the job is complete.
