It's moving aware from the Safenet ways and more towards the Gemalto culture.
The Ottawa office has the Safenet culture and is resisting the Gemalto culture. Safenet is a can do production environment where people get work done. Gemalto culture seems to be cutting and cost saving at the expense of getting work done. I watched a contractor get promoted to full time position and IT bungled his migration. For 2 weeks the user's accounts were unusable and user was not able to do quality work or attend Skype meetings. Really frustrating for user and user's manager and this is where the Gemalto culture is moving to. A remote helpdesk system that focuses on closing tickets rather than solving problems, spamming users with manuals rather than solving their issues, accounting practices that reduce and restrict user's productivity by using less than optimal hardware.
