You are a number. You don't matter as you are working for a contractor. If you get injured, you're on your own. Complaints, specifically safety based complaints fall on deaf ears, and if you get into an accident, even if it has been established that it's an issue of lack of maintenance, it's still your fault. Stay far away from this employer. They will not have your back, they will not fight for you and they certainly won't help you if you ever get injured.

I have to be responsible for delivering material to 25 tire building machines plus 10 machines in my own department. There is no margin for error at all and it is incredibly dangerous and stressful. When all the machines are in operation you are responsible for over the 500 individual pieces of building materials in use. You must always be five steps ahead. If you're not, machines go down. If this happens with any regularity, they fire you.
