CSSR (Former Employee) – Charlottetown, PE – 29 October 2016
To clarify a previous review from an obviously disgruntled ex employee. Since long term staff left, it was great! They were the cause of gossip amoungst themselves (not the Managers) and were lazy. Both Regional Manager and Store Manager were amazing to work for and will bend over backwards to help you. I had fun working there :) A nice family atmosphere!
Customer Service and Support Representative (Former Employee) – Charlottetown, PE – 17 May 2016
Can't keep long term staff and management from head office doesn't do anything to stop it. Lot's of long time staff have left and weren't offered exit interviews. PEI's Regional Manager has been in charge for 5 years too many. She does not know how to properly discipline and does not motive staff. Extremely gossipy environment which stems from the regional manager. The store managers do their best with what they've got. Pay is one of the lowest in the industry.
low pay, terrible management, no room for advancement
people and clients are aewsome but managment needs inprovment
Business Account Manager (Former Employee) – Toronto, ON – 24 June 2015
there is never one set of instructions from one manager there is always 3-4 different sets of instructions on every project and every meeting and you kind of have to use your gut and hope you follow or choose the right one, Pay is not amazing at all very under paid and over worked for the amount of work you have to put into each account.
Customer service (Former Employee) – Toronto – 8 November 2014
Only good thing is the people who work there with you. Other then that, nothing good to say. Future Shop pays more for mobile employees. Most places pay a higher wage to start and offer more after 3 months. Expect to have a new Phone launch and get absolutely no phones in. Which in return leads to disappointed customers, and no commission.
incentives, work life balance
lowest commission in the industry, any other retail location pays higher wages
Account Executive (Current Employee) – Pickering, ON – 22 January 2014
Being an outside sales representative has taught me a lot of about business operations as a whole. The training provided at GBS is nothing but the best. Putting us in the minds of our clients and teaching the right persuasive technique to get business.
Sales and account management got easier as time progressed due to me ability to maintain close relationship with my clients by exceeding their needs of customer service.
