Better places to work
Too many negative things to list. Had to wait for relief numerous times without anyone calling me to tell me they were going to be late or not even show up at all. Management is terrible. Had my shift changed and not told about the change. Not flexible about shifts. Feels like you are simply a number and management doesn’t care about you.

le respect des années de service
aucun respect pour certains des employés et favoritisme . les années de service ne conte pas pour eux

Toxic dead-end work environment
Before COVID it was bad, but during and after COVID really exemplified how much the management really don't care for their workers. Horribly toxic. Immature management who brush off serious issues brought forward by workers, even if done so in the most professional means possible. Lack of proper training, which means the more experienced workers have to pick up their slack. Incentive "bonus" over the summer which means you can't call in sick even once, even if you're sick. Many times supplies run out including access to water while working.

Management is Not Very Supportive
Everyone got yelled at from the manager all the time. No one really liked working in the contract because of the manager. Very high turn over for same reason. If the manager don't like you even though you are doing everything right, you will have to keep looking over your shoulder as the manager will definitely find a reason. The worst part is no matter who you complaint to, nothing ever happens. Union does nothing, HR does nothing, not even directors.
Détective / Prévention / Formateur in À travers le Québec

Interview questions

They already know if you are being interviewed, they ask availablilty, if you are bilingual, can you legally work in canada, do you have a car, why do you want to work here and name a time you gave exceptional customer service. If they were planning to interview you they give you a time in this case for the next day, if not you just wasted more of your day and are sent home. Honestly if felt like they went in with a list of those they wanted already and the ones on that list that passed got interviews, for the rest you're just a testing number and probably just get the form letter in a week saying no thanks. If you write the tests and pass you should get a real shot at the job but I've read this is not reflective of the company at all. People aren't treated very well at Garda.
