Some of the management team are absurdly low skill and unaware of how to efficiently work. Staff members are always afraid of being replaced or fired. No loyalty to their workers. Abysmal HR department. Horrible overall moral with the work force.

Everything was great at my workplace for the past so years..until guarda took over contract!..worst security companie ever!..management are bully's...they dont care about employee and even if you try to get help from the union they do nothing cause there payed by guarda to make money out of the guards!!..i hope this company will get realy small in the future!..the president is only there to try make money and himself as bad rep in the news!!..stay away!

Being told someone booked off and you have to work, is not a way to ask if a person will cover shifts. Managment really needs to not take advantage of peoples kindness. This might be a goodbplace to work to teach a rookie what not to do. A seasoned guard will not put up with poor comunication as I did. If you needed an answer you had to call 5 times to get anything solved. And training is never done, they keep finding some excuse to make sure you were certified properly. I left because of this, and upper managment not answering simple questions. I was promised $19/ hr and they paid $17.50 started out with a lie.

Une très bonne équipe avec le sourire facile mème en temps de pandémie. A tous les jours il y a des directives qui sont mise en évidence pour être sure que tout le monde est au courant des points et situations a surveiller. L'équipe est bien encadrer. La direction de l'équipe s'assure de bien expliqué les raisons des décisions qui sont prises.

Run away as fast as you can, and don't look back. Very toxic environment, no regard for employees' health or safety.Managers are honestly out to make themselves look good. That is it.

I have been at Garda for 3 years and I’m still here because of the stability. The pay is horrible for what my job actually consists of, the benefits are terrible and it’s a very toxic work environment.

Lots of stress due to high work load and deadlines, crazy hours, no admin support, unionized environment, and the pay is low. It’s a couple dollars more as a Manager than what the staff make. Also the trainers make more than the managers. Ridiculous...

GardaWorld Aviation is a good place to get experience but it is not a health environment for managers to develop their careers. There is a lot of favoritism that occurs when new positions open up. Normally, in GardaWorld Aviation when a position opens, Senior Managers (GMs) have already picked who they want in that role. Most of the time, it bites them in the BUTT but they never learn from it.

I was hired at the Mississauga branch as a casual hire, and what a waste of time it was working here for 6 months of my life. The entire facility is unmaintained and extremely dirty, the amount of black dust everywhere is a major cause for concern. The locker rooms are extremely filthy to the point that if you drop any of your black uniform on the floor for even a second, they will have dirt all over them. All their equipment is either damaged, faulty, or jury-rigged to barely work. Their entire system is ridiculously out-dated and everything is done manually in a program that looks like it was made in the 1980s. The trucks are constantly on the brink (pun intended) of falling apart, and there is always issues with them. The managers are very disorganized and really don't care about anybody besides themselves and maybe the full-time guys that lick their boots. The work culture is absolute garbage. People will step over you to get ahead, so trust no one. Everybody is talking about you behind your back, so if somebody starts chit-chatting and asks something like how many shifts you got this week, just don't tell them. They will complain behind your back and you'll either get shifts cancelled or receive not as many the preceding weeks. Don't make friends here, just do your job and go home if you are really that desperate. Everybody here is a back-stabber. If you have the pleasure (sarcasm) of working with a full-timer, they will rush you to get the job done because they get paid their 10 hour shift regardless of how early their work is completed. last 3 years worked at a few different sites with Garda. I enjoyed some of the sites but I was not too happy with others. now am not full time at the moment but when I had a permanent site some were better than others

Je parle du secteur Abitibi' Doit avoir une gerance avec plus de humanisme' et moins de preferentiel envers leur employer' leur chef d'equipe doivent etre plus encourager et soutenue lors d'intervention. Et non pointer du doigt et abaisser . La direction doit etre re evaluer sinon changer de RH.
