decent first job, not a lot of room for growth
Order Picker (Current Employee) –  Etobicoke, ON19 October 2018
gambles produce is a good first job but there is very little room for growth in the company, only a select few that stand out will get on full time...
Pros
management is not to uptight compared to other companies in the terminal
Cons
unfair union job, wage is not enough, not enough hours, overtime starts after 44 hours a week

Terrible Company
Logistics Operations Coordinator (Former Employee) –  Etobicoke, ON25 July 2018
They will use you and discard you.
Save yourself the trouble by avoiding it entirely.
They will lie during the hiring process and then show their true colours after.

Over all a good place to work. A tweek here and there, it could be a great place to work
AZ Licensed truck driver (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON6 November 2016
Come to work on time, do a good job or at least appear to do a good job and you will not have a problem. A reasonable amount of available overtime if you want.
It takes a while to get to the full salary, but the benefits are decent after your probation. Vision and dental coverage is below average.
The big bosses try to be friendly but only when the mood strikes them to be friendly. The supervisors are decent people and if they see you make an effort, they will be a little more lenient on you.
Beware of the HR department. The HR lady is all smiles to your face, but is less then committed to your well being behind your back. Even though she calls herself a "People Development" manager.
Pros
They never bounced a pay cheque
Cons
Almost $70 per month taken off your cheque for Teamster Union dues.

food clerk
Food Clerk (Former Employee) –  Lakeshore, ON30 May 2016
Daily day at work we have to deal with customers who come to buy fruits and vegetables in a wholesale price.
i learned much about the people from different cultures. i also learn about time management and importance of meeting goals within a time limit.
Management was pretty respectful for what their employee do and support with whatever resource necessary. They treat their employee fairly.
Hardest part of the job is to lift and carry heavy products.
Most enoyable part of the job is to meet with different clients and be a part of diverse workforce.
Pros
good pay
Cons
heavy lifting
