Very supporting environment and the team is very supportive on learning and leading you into different challenging job tasks. You could be very open minded and yourself during work.

The people who work there are generally easy to get along with, most are engaged with issues surrounding the Greenbelt, the directors are generally good and competent people, too bad none of them applied for the CEO position when it was up for grabs. Pay is pretty ridiculous though.

Challenging but rewarding place to work. Management is at times difficult to deal with/very demanding. At times communication is lacking from managing/important figures.

I have been employed by the Friends of the Greenbelt Foundation since August 2014. In less than a year I have worked on various intellectually challenging assignments, from organizing a 10th anniversary party for VIP stakeholders to managing an ongoing school murals project. The Friends of the Greenbelt Foundation is a wonderful place to work. Managers are supportive and care about your professional development, the CEO has a wicked sense of humour, and the work itself is interesting and varied. I would highly recommend the Foundation as a place to work if you have a strong interest in sustainability and environmental issues.
Pros
Strong team culture, relaxed office environment, interesting assignments
Cons
Low pay
