Nurse in Langley, BC
on 18 November 2021
Not enough funding for enough staff
All units are shortstaffed, therefore the staff to patient ratios and daily workload for each staff member is too high. It's stressful and draining if you care a lot about your patients (and colleagues) and feel bad to see them suffering.

Productive and challenging but rewarding at the same time
Productive and challenging but rewarding at the same time. Management is supportive and focused on my success within the company. Hardest part of the job is trying to get fulltime. Most enjoyable is the experiences and things I learn everyday.

This is a good company
As a health care assistant, I was enjoying my work. Because you can help to different residents and give a happy joy, compassion and very enjoyable at the workplace. The hardest part of the job is when we are always short staff. when it is short you cannot accommodate to answer the call bell and you cannot give good quality of care to the resident.
