Professional, diverse, great training and fun.
Reservations Sales Specialist (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 22 December 2021
It's a professional, diverse and fun-working environment. Colleagues are friendly and helpful. A typical day is taking inbound calls, assisting reservations and handling issues. Scheduling shifts could be improved, but overall it's a great place to work.
Pros
Lunch and travel
Cons
evenings and weekend shifts

A luxury workplace that you could take pride in
Security (Former Employee) - Vancouver, Toronto, and United States - 7 November 2021
I worked with the Four Seasons for nine years, spanning several locations after promotions and transfers. Between 2012 and 2021, started as an entry level contributor and moved my way up to Director-level, Department Head. The Four Seasons works very hard to look after all of its employees, even if sometimes the pay isn't there. Benefits are solid, never missed a paycheque or had to work that hard to rectify a few hours missing. No matter the location though, myself, and every other employee, always had support and felt a very strong sense of belonging and pride in the company. That is what I will miss most.
Pros
Employee Complementary Stay Program.
Cons
Having to always be 'on' in front of guests can get tiring.

Collaboration and corporate
CONCIERGE (Former Employee) - Whistler, BC - 10 April 2021
I worked originally at the FSRW in my younger years and did not have a positive experience at that time. It is only about a decade later that I came back to the hotel as I was offered a fantastic opportunity with them. This time around, I had a fantastic work experience and was overall very happy at my job. I loved my team and the management. Perhaps the biggest challenge I lived there was a strong debate for the salary between the team and the management (to be clear, personally I felt very satisfied by my salary).
Pros
Great commission, free meals, strong benefits, generally steady hours, some discounts on FS products and free room nights.
Cons
At times long hours, exigent clients.

constantly unstaffed, stressful and low pay
Reservation Agent (Former Employee) - Whistler, BC - 24 March 2021
Four Season Whistler is not a pleasant place to work. Due to high turnover rate, staff are usually under a lot stress and not many people seem to be happy working here. HR manager is not very friendly and approachable. Management team change a lot so SOPs are usually not been implemented properly before they move for their worldwide promotion.
Pros
free lunches
Cons
low pay, no team work

Employee focused Mid-sized organisation structured as a large organisation
Director (Former Employee) - Toronto, ON - 3 March 2021
Is already setup as a much bigger organisational structure than it is today. Built to last as one would say with a strong foundation. Only challenge in that respect is that it possibly might not be as nimble as an organisation of this size is expected to be. Great potential to excel in ones work and get more responsibilities but most of the time just doing what is needed is also acceptable (depends on the role of course). Definite focus on work life balance makes it a lot more smoother for one to settle in and very much a people focused organisation.
Pros
Great cafeteria
Cons
Structure of the organisation already built out, not easy to get promoted

OK job
TRANSPORTATION CARE SPECIALIST (Former Employee) - Calgary, AB - 25 October 2020
This is a good part time job, if you don't mind the split shift hours...a morning school run, and an afternoon run. So there is about 4 hours in between to do whatever. This company only drives the smaller school bus, so a class 4 license is needed, not a class 2, which is great for people that are not interested in driving a large bus. The other thing I liked is that you keep the bus at your place...no driving back and forth to a bus lot. 4 Seasons drives "differently abled" students. Some are in wheelchairs, some are non-verbal, some kids are high functioning, some are not. This takes extra time to load and unload, so there may only be 2-10 students on a route. And there is also an aide with every driver to manage the loading/unloading and keep everyone calm during the ride. If you don't want to be a driver, you can be an aide, which pays $70 per day.
Pros
Training for things like self defense and how to manage unruly, aggressive kids physically and verbally, It was also nice to be appreciated by some of the parents for transporting their child, They would give gifts at Christmas and year end.
