Very fast paced
Project Manager (Former Employee) - Canada - 24 October 2023
Great place to work and great benefits. It’s very fast paced so if you don’t enjoy that, it may not be the best place for you. I loved that it’s hybrid!

Best of the Big 3
Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (Current Employee) - Windsor, ON - 9 August 2023
It's a big organization with a long history. This makes them less agile and adaptable at the floor level, but upper (corporate) management seems to be moving forward despite this. Management treats the workers very respectfully, but coworkers within the union level could definitely be nicer to each other.
Pros
Great pay, lots of overtime if you want it
Cons
Less than great benefits

Ford is terrible to work for
Automotive Service Technician (Current Employee) - Ontario - 9 August 2023
Ford is the worst brand to work as a tech. all labor times are under paid. compensation is not competitive. high stress. foreman is rude. there expectations are far too high. insufficient for specific tools especially for a dealer
Pros
employment
Cons
bad pay, not well lit, labour times are low for warranty, management only cares about money

Jobs at Ford Motor Company
Monotony of manufacturing warehouse
Assembly Worker/Inspector (Former Employee) - Oakville, ON - 3 August 2023
The job can pay well at first but there isn't much room for advancement, however the benefits are excellent. Most jobs are incredibly boring and keep you busy.

Good place to work, poor wage
Technician (Former Employee) - Manitoba - 11 July 2023
Good place to work, tough management and worse pay. The automotive mechanic industry isn’t what it used too. The whole industry is suffering not just at ford motor company!

Unproductive and No Support.
Product Advisor (Former Employee) - Calgary, AB - 18 June 2023
No support from management and not a great company to start if someone like to build a career in this industry. I would never recommend this Ford company to anyone.

Different work tiers
Forklift Operator/Material Handler (Former Employee) - Oakville, ON - 12 June 2023
Was a good place to work but with the introduction of different pay tiers became a worse place to work. You might have two people working across from each other being paid two different wages
Pros
Good pay, vacations
Cons
Long hours, different pay structures

Either they should not hire tpt or if they wanna hire make a guy fulltimer
Order Processor (Current Employee) - Brampton, ON - 20 May 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Nothing is good If you are hired as tpt in this company What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Union takes money each month but whole tpt working in this company agree that they never helped in useful times. Supervisors forces you to do much orders and if you go to union they do nothing What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Not good for me because i am hired as tpt What is a typical day like for you at the company? Average. Full timers will bump you because of seniority

Fast paced intense work environment
ASSEMBLY LINE UTILITY WORKER (Former Employee) - Oakville, ON - 9 May 2023
I worked as a utility temp so I got to work on a lot of the jobs in most of the departments. Chassis and Trim jobs are hard and can be tough on you body. Pre-delivery is easiest but you need a lot of seniority to get this position. The body department was my favourite to work in not too fast paced jobs where pretty simple but it also requires a lot of seniority to get into

Productive but robotic
Production Operator (Former Employee) - Oakville, ON - 16 April 2023
8 hours shift and you work like a robot for 8 hours straight and after a few weeks, you'll notice the toll it takes on your body. You repeat the same thing over and over again at least a 1000 times a day
