The job can be fun and busy depending on the season-- back to school, black friday, christmas. The environment of the store is really depending on the manager. Some were fun, some were strict and some could be unfair. You are required to meet sale goals which is not that hard. The best part about working at foot locker were the coworkers and building an awesome shoe collection.
Pros
Employee discount 30%-50%
Cons
PT- no benefits and low pay (minimum wage)

It was amazing working at footlocker as the workload was minimum yet convincing customers to buy the products was competitive . Only drawback is it has minimum flexible timing & long shifts on certain days.
Pros
Minimum work pressure
Cons
Long hours & less flexible time schedule

Poor communication from executives and very disorganized. Got rid of commission in 2018 so there is no longer an incentive to reach sales goals unless you're being paid salary with bonuses. The company expects too much from you while offering no appreciation in return.

This place is competitive, you have to have good sales and know what to do to ensure you get a fair amount of hours. Overall I love the job because I am passionate about clothes and shoes.

If you are planning to work at footlocker as a part time employee then be prepared to get 6-8 hours a week. You are making little to nothing working at footlocker and no you don't get commission. Everyone is stuck up and thinks there cool because they sell $300 dollar shoes which is basically everyones pay check anyway. Management does not train you properly, your only benefit is the amazing friendly customers and 30% all merchandise with a limit of $500 a month.
Pros
30% Discount
Cons
No Hours

Do not work at Fairview mall. Management does not train you and it’s learn as you go. They expect you to do things which you aren’t trained for. The 30% discount is good. Every three months they do the 50% off everything for employees as well which is good. You do not need to know anything about shoes so don’t worry if you apply to any location. If you are a student, after the summer (August) is over, there are 0 breaks and the most you get are 6 hour shifts. Maybe two a week. Not weekends if you just start. Only thing they train you on is how to find the shoes. Even then they don’t actually help you. It’s one half an hour review on how to find the shoes and you’re on your own from there.
Pros
30% discount, good hours in the summer
Cons
Barely any training, no commission, people are kinda friendly

Really short hours, 2,3 days a week with only about 3-5 hours per shift. Manager was not the best. The goals and objectives always had you on your tip toes which was good.

I’ve worked at a footlocker Newmarket upper Canada mall and got no hours. Managers hog all hours and leave everyone else to one day a week. Someone at head office needs to look into scheduling there. Not fair for other workers that try to make money
Pros
Friendly atmosphere
Cons
No hours

Lacks proper management past the store level to make working here worth it beyond a high school job or side job. The actual work is highly engaging and fun, especially if you are into shoes and athletics. For me, the store management I was hired under was phenomenal, but positions are moved around ridiculously often by the regional management, so never count on that. If you are looking for full-time employment where you even slightly desire opportunity and a career do not trust Footlocker completely. They underpay for store management related positions. If you desire to work for the head offices you are better off applying directly with qualifications because god forbid they move anybody up. Commission has been taken away so monetary incentives are gone, you will get minimum wage in most positions, even full time. You will struggle to receive the hours you first did when you were hired unless you have a full-time position, and even then you have to keep hounding some store's managers to give you full-time hours. It is great as a short term or side job. Pretty good pros for full or part-time in terms of discount and product availability and full-time employees do receive benefits.
Pros
Work environment among sales associates. Good discounts and availability on launch products
Cons
Uncertain hours and management

Management is decent but could be better. Pay is terrible, since they cut out commission. People are great, and job is relatively easy. Would be better if they bought back commission or some kind of incentive.

Good people

There isn't very much room for advancement in the company unless you can work 40+ hours, and to get that many hours at any given time in the year is extremely difficult. The environment is extremely good.

I'm really into sneakers so working at Footlocker was a dream come true for me. Ever since commission was removed, my co-workers and I didn't fight for sales and I could now say that we all have a close relationship. Great place to make friends and that discount is blessed too.

Discount
Cons

Woking at footlocker was alright. The workers were ok some were shady but overall the pay as goo and when i say good I mean as if your not either a full time worker or manager you hardly get any shifts at all during the slow months (march, April, may). But besides that everything was alright not perfect but alright.

discounts
Cons

It was a decent relaxed job but your experience largely depends on the management you have. Since commission is no longer something Foot Locker is offering, there really isn't any bonuses now, to the job other than the 30% employee discount. Besides that, it is an ordinary sales associate job.
