The majority of the crew is easy to work with; lack adequate systems.

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
Job to where you can learn a lot with a overall quality atmosphere. Understaffed which affects some range of learning and job tasks. Higher management is exceptional, middle management lacks systems. Minimal room for advancement.

Pros

Flexible with days off/holiday.

Cons

Long hours especially with on call phone rotation.

Too much drama and back stabbing, most workers lied to get employed and dont know how to do thier job.

If you can find another employer do so and stay away from this ridiculously run company, and find yourself a job that will not stress u out or make you feel embarrassed to say you work for

Pros

None to mention that I can tell that would make you want to work here.

Cons

Everything about this company is wrong, all the way from owner to laborer.

Great place to Work Family orientated

Fluidpro is a great place to work if your looking to stay busy and to be able to have pride in your work. The equipment is top notch and not all run own like most places. It is a fast paced company that has diversified to keep the employees busy while the covid slow down happened. Management is willing to help out in the field when needed and is always willing to go the extra mile.

Pros

Good equipment, easy to talk to management

Cons

Short staffed

Terrible place to work

It is made clear very early on to do as your told, regardless!! If you enjoy being overworked, having no support, disrespected with poor management this is your calling. The high turn over of employees is proof that this company needs to look at what’s really going on within their ranks.

Cons

Terrible atmosphere

Productive, Adaptive, fun place to work

Been with Fluidpro for over a year an a half, Fluidpro has adapted to the changing markets, being diversified allows us drivers more seat time and job options. From the CEO to shop the people are easy to get along with, a well managed team. If you like work the pay is there, if you need mechanical help the shop is awesome. The drivers are a good bunch of dudes

Good spot!

I worked in the shop for a number of years. Very busy place. Company believes in doing everything in house. Very excellent for mechanics who always wanting to push ahead in their career. Tool allowances, Healthcare spending, on call rate and group rrsps are a positive. Lots of hours/ot which contributes to a nice salary each year. Can be very demanding during busy times and tough for worklife balance but during slow times shifts are changed to allow more time at home!

Dont apply and you'll have No regrets.

Mismanaged, horrible work life balance. Constant micro managing and junior high bickering by all levels of employees. If you ever wanted to work at disney land... Mickey mouse pro club is for you!

Pros

No rules of road or hours of service

Cons

No sleep no problem

Fast paced business great team to work with

For someone who likes fast paced work with room for advancement I would definitely recommend trying FluidPro friendly staff with newer well maintained equipment in the bustling city of Grande Prairie which is a great city to raise a family

Good place to work and good people

I worked at FluidPro for almost 2 years, if your willing to work hard you’ll make decent money, their equipment is very well maintained and the workshop is excellent, it’s dirty work and hard work most of the time but if you put the effort in you’ll make good money, the management try there best in difficult circumstances, I left at the start of the COVID pandemic due to no work, if it wasn’t for that I’d still be working there

Pros

Good people and good equipment

Cons

Hard working conditions

Management is cheap

Terrible company to work for no management constant unsafe work practices if they could save a dollar and put your life on the line they will do it, flush sour units in the yard, will take bonus away for no legitimate reason

Pros

Some mechanics were good some were just down right lazy

Cons

Management needs to change

Sinking Ship/On Call 24/7 Despite Shift

I waited for the opportunity to work at this company for a long time just to find out how awful it actually is to work there. At first it was busy and the work was there, and then when it tapered off you find out who is picked and chosen for the jobs, and given the work to stay. Constantly being flipped from truck to truck, and the trucks haven't been maintained or resupplied. So the next poor guy to get in the truck has to take the extra time to restock it and then gets booted to another truck. Dispatch is flipped from person to person, and the other dispatchers have no idea who's working and not working, or their days on/off. Sometimes sitting there for weeks without work, only to find out they thought you were off or didn't know who you were. The other thing is being sent on jobs with little to no information on the job at all, hen when you get there, special safety equipment is needed, or tools to do the job. The operator looks like and idiot, even when the operator asks dispatch for the info, the answer is usually "noting was provided". THATS THERE JOB!!!! The company then tells you different, when you get there and the blamed falls on the person standing in front of the oil company. YOU !! The ladies in the office are the gold/glue that holds this place together, so i give them the credit. The management on the other hand is terrible, same with dispatch.

Pros

Newer Equipment, Good Swampers

Cons

Zero Info, No Schedule, Terrible Management

Pros

Cons

Most everything

Pump division is a mess

Where to start, the job is easy but manager was always a mess not organizing his guys shifts properly for the job at hand which led to working over houred as class 1 drivers and forced to do the jobs or you'll eventually be sat and not worked if you said something. Manager continuously said "thats the patch" to justify working 24 hrs for 1 day rate. If you asked the manager for crew change because you were gonna be over houred on lease let alone getting home or to hotel you were told 95% of the time there is no crew change so they didn't have to pay another day rate. The company in general used to pay decent 2+ years ago but since then they passed on the industries struggles to the employee, and expected the employee to accept it like its his or hers problem like there an owner in the company. while every one else in the industry gets a 5-15% pay cut as an employee, fluid pro pump hands got cut 20-50%, literally supervisors working for less then a swamper at 25 an hour in the same company. Communication to the employees was horrible too, 95% of the time you had to hear news from word of mouth, the manager wouldn't have regular safety meetings with pump hands, my whole last year you only had meetings when there was pay cuts which there were 2. And manager didn't take 1 cut while hands all got screwed. To recap the manager shouldn't be in his position, he has no recent experience to do the job correctly and only there because he's friends with the owner.

Pros

15-6 schedule, salary.

Cons

Over houred work, communication to employees, unorganized, not paid for time worked or bonuses earned.

Excellent

A growing company with room for improvement, but a great work environment. Management and staff are working hard to make FluidPRO a leader in the industry.

Great group of people to work with!

Been here for a while and honestly the people are great! The company grew really fast and that came with its own challenges, but they always seem to find work and manage to stay fairly busy. Best money I've ever made so I can't complain too much. Only thing I can say is communication could be better with the office and drivers, but they seem like they are working on that.

At Fluidpro they do not care if you are safe or legal. Horrible place to work

Worst job I ever had so I left it. You will be put in unsafe conditions. Dispatch does not care if you are houred out and will push you to work past legal driving hour limits. You will be lied to. If you refuse to work in unsafe conditions, you will be fired. Fluidpro has to be the worst trucking company to work for.

Not what i thought it would be

Theres alot of BS goes on w being such a big company. After 5 months boss and owner still dont know my name. Safety is strict and will suspend people in the blink of an eye. Pay is percentage.

starts good till its not what you were told

Not so great 21% don't always pan out expect to live in truck with no pay they don't tell you that on hiring at times don't charge for first hour or half hour of wait times and travel time.if truck needs better lights you have to buy.you have to supply inverter and get mechanics to install hopefully they don't bounce you out of that truck lol.one of the dispatch will expect you to jump when he calls regardless of days off or hours out on logbook will hint to rip page out.will run you ragged if you turn down work for this you will not get 1% bonuse.

Pros

Trucks in good shape

Cons

run you ragged.dont care
